Yes.

They are thinking that they hope to get chosen today and feel that the work is well worth the money. I never ever hear a complaint.

I know many day laborers (I speak spanish), most don't mind at all working a hard days' work if it means providing for their families.

Consider that where they are from, they would only get paid a SMALL percentage of what they get paid here for the same exact job.

If you mean a “temp” from a service performing a job, then yes. Many like the flexibility of dong different things each day. This is of course a legal way for legal folks to make a legal living. If you mean an illegal immigrant then no, I do not associate with the criminal element.

Yes many times.....

I live on the border and some have knocked on my door asking for work....They are like anyone else just looking for work....I have never hired them, my hubbies cuts our own grass.....But if I were single and didn't have time, I would hire them for yard work....

Other times, they ask if I have any stuff I want to throw away, like clothes or old appliances etc, and I have given them things, I was going to throw away....They are thankful....They buy this stuff, repair it and sell it in Mexico for a small profit....
