It would depend on how tight the cord was and whether or not the baby was deprived of oxygen.

Until the baby begins to develop outside the womb it is extremely hard and inaccurate to say what the effect will be. Some may not be evident until later in life once puberty kicks in.

My friends son went through horrible experience.. There was bleeding in the lungs, partial blindness, partial deafness. Constant respiratory issues. Delayed speach. Delayed learning. At the birth they said he would not live..but he has and he is a wonderful loving boy. He spent 6 months in the hospital, much in the NICU.

This happens quite frequently and there usually aren't any problems. Rarely though it can cause oxygen deprivation which can cause brain damage.

maybe minor brain damage such as..slow learning in school....maybe alittle quiet than most
