Urinary Tract Infections can be very dangerous. A few years ago, a neighbor woman almost died of one, since it was antibiotic resistant.

My wife used to get them, and of course blamed me for being dirty.

I am going to tell you the truth about them, as indelicate as it is. Most of them are caused by a very filthy habit many women have, and they don't even know it's wrong.

When men cleanse themselves in the bathroom, they are forced by their anatomy to reach from behind; reach forward and cleanse backwards.

A lot of women learned as girls, since their anatomy doesn't interfere, to reach from the front, reach back and cleanse forward.

This is where most bladder infections come from.

Medican researchers have done skin/pubic hair samples on large numbers of men and women and it is the women who are contaminated with bacteria, because of their childish cleansing habits. I found it on the Web, so I assume you can, too, if you are in doubt about this.

Since my wife changed to a mature cleansing process, she has not had one more infection, and that has been years.

Do, though, go to the doctor ASAP. Bladder infections can kill you if left untreated. That neighbor women needed some sort of really disgusting to keep her alive. Those infections are so strong in many cases only Cipro will handle them.

And, at the same time, change your filthy habits. You are a woman now, not a little girl, and that part of your body is used for other things, and you need to change accordingly.

By the way, a close friend in Mexico is a gynecologist. We discussed this one time, and she said she tells this to all her patients.

As I said, if you doubt this, search for it. Literally, your life is at risk.

Are you sure you are drinking pure cranberry juice? not a cocktail? Buy juice with no other juices. For example Cran-Apple, is mostly apple juice, which is loaded with sugar.

Cranberrys have recently been shown in a scientific study to contain a compound that interferiors with bacteria's ability stick to things. Cranberry's may be one of the better ways to fight infections if you insist on not going to the doctor.

Unfortunatly you have to get a lot of them in you.

Your best bet is to eat a 1/2 cup of fresh cranberry's twice a day.

Second best would be to have a fresh/fruit juice of pure cranberry. Something that has never been "shelf stable" Unfortunatly this type of product is usually more expensive, has a quick experation date, and may be harder to find.

Consider the difference between the orange juice you get in the refrigerator section or the grocery store, and the "shelf stable" type you might see in the liquor store, or in vending machines. The quality difference is obvious. The same would be true of Cranberry juice. If you want to get the highest amount of the factor that helps with the infection try to buy the least processed form.

You are right to drink extra fluids. You body will need help in physically flushing away the bacteria. This is one of the body's main defenses. When you have a cold you get a runny nose, when you get food poisioning you get diarhea. When you get a bladder infection you get...urgency. You body needs to flush the bacteria out and you need to literally drink as much water as you can stand. Go to the grocery store and buy a few 2.5 gallon water jugs. Make it your goal to drink one each day. If you aren't used to a lot of water you might have a hard time with it, but at least aim for it.

Hey, I didn't say it would be easy.... You are the one who doesn't want to go to the doctor.... Not me.

To help with the pain there is a medicine called Prodium... You can get it in the pain killer section near the advil, etc.

It only works on bladder pain. IT DOES NOT CURE THE INFECTION. but it will make it feel better. *NOTE it turns your pee bright bright orange. It will stain things, like your underwear. So wear old stuff you don't care about.

IF you aren't better in another week or so, or you get a bad fever like 103+ go to the doctor or ER. You might have a worse infection. It could be a kidney infection. It could be another type of infection down there. In either case you might need a pro's help. It's not worth dieing over.

Good luck
