Who cares what the Bible says.

Well I'm pretty sure most everyone knows the bible states it's wrong and there are many other sins that are listed along with homosexuality.
Just as we all know sin is pleasurable.
There comes a time when we receive the good news of the Gospel and how one responds to it has eternal consequences.

Romans 5:6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

7For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.

8But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Hebrews 10:29 How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

Being a lesbian isn't wrong, and you'll find a lot of people here who have postive things to say, just as you'll find people who have negative things to say. I am a lesbian, and while I am not christian, feel that I am on a spiritual jouney....check out my profile and look under "rate my sin". I think you'll be pleasantly amazed and also ticked off by the answers I recieved. Love is always the answer, just because it doesn't fall into someone's narrow definition, doesn't mean it was wrong. Who was the bible written by? Men. Are men perfect? No. Can man know the heart of god/dess? YES....how? with LOVE. Love is not wrong.

Yes it does! Here is what the Bible says about homosexuality.

In Genesis 19:1-29 the cities of Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed because the people were so wicked. The men of the city wanted to have sex with other men. So God's judgement on the city was to destroy it by raining down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Leviticus 18:22 (speaking to men in Israel) "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Romans 1:26-27 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders...will inhereit the kingdom of God."

1 Corinthians 6:13 "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."

1 Timothy 1:8-10 "We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers."

This is related to the question I put on yahoo a few minutes ago. If it feels good does that make it right? Think about that. The Bible in Romans chapter 1 verses 25 through 30 addresses your question. peace.

Romans 1:26, "their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

actually, it does not.

The only passage used to justify anti-lesbianism is from Romans.

It refers to women 'abandoning their original function' which was always used to attack women who didn't want to have 10,000 children.

only in the last decade have churches suddenly decided that it applies to lesbianism

besides, you're a bi-sexual, so you've not even abandoned your original "function" (how sexist is that terminology, btw?). So I guess even with the brand new interpretation of the bible, you're free to sleep with as many women as you like.

ummm, and if you ever need help with that.... ;)~
