enquiring minds want to know..........ive heard that people jumping from bridges pass out prior to hitting water

People will argue that these people could have passed out before hand, but I dont believe this, I am a BASE jumper and I often jump off bridges and stuff. I know that before you jump you have to contemplate it, and thats the time your body mentally prepares to react to that shock of falling.
Those people did the same thing, so I believe that many of them were still watching as the came to the end on the pavement. Once your mental mindset is controlled you will not pass out.
If they fell out involuntarily then they didnt have time to get in a mind set and probably did pass out as someone said, or they were in this knocked out phase where nothing makes sense, this happened to me in Norway, but luckly for me I woke up and pulled the cord. Scary.

I doubt it.... at least from physiological stand point.
If someone is free falling, the person is in weightless condition. What would happen at physical level is, more blood will be in your brain because your body is accustomed to the effect of gravity, and in free fall, this effect is eliminated. But, the amount of imbalance is not sufficient to cause a loss of consciousness.

Sadly enough, I disagree. There are some parachute jumpers that free-fall for far longer distances and if they were unconscious, they'd be unable to pull the rip chord. So, regrettably, I doubt that that premise holds any validity.

yes g forces cause all the blood to rush to or from your brains and cause you to pass out.. Much like fighter pilots make turns to quickly
