there are orthodox sects of the Catholic church, and Roman catholicism. I wouldn't dispute either, but I personally am Roman Catholic. We are all under the pope, and therefore all considered Catholic. It has to do with the doctrines of the churches. But the most important thing: The mass, is said basically the same way. there may be different thought on things like language or type of songs, but the Mass is basically working towards the same principle everywhere, no matter how it's done. And that principle is the eucharist.

Neither is really very correct, but Orthodox is more correct. The Orthodox priests did not alter the Scriptures as much as the Catholics did.

As a Catholic, I would obviously say Catholicism. It was the first Christian religion and many (even those who are not "religious") claim that it was indeed the church that Jesus founded. Orthodox and the other Protestant churches have many Catholic roots actually. After all, they all pulled away from Catholicism wanting to create their own religion.

why only two choices? eastern orthodox or Roman catholic?

in some respects I would say eastern orthodox since the beliefs of the eastern orthodox are fairly ancient where some Catholic beliefs such as Mariology is relatively recent

in some respects I would say western orthodox reformed since they carefully examine the scripture having the faith rest as the Bible directs on scripture and salvation on faith

however I dont htink its entirely an either or situation, there are many stunning beliefs shared by various groups

I don't think you can judge "correctness" in this case. Questions like this just lead to "we're right and you're wrong" arguments. Now, if you wanted to ask which had stronger biblical ties, or rituals that seems to date back the longest with the least amount of change, that would be an interesting discussion. This just sounds like it's begging for a war. Besides, which orthodox do you want to consider?

First, the differences are miniscule. Second both sides are working on formal union so the point will become moot someday.

That is like asking was the apostolic community at Alexandria, Rome, Antioch, Kerala or Constantinople more correct. They are all apostolically founded communities that share the belief system handed to them by the apostles. It is the diversity that is the source of joy.

Neither. Terms are wrong, correct is ROMAN Catholic and EASTERN Orthodox. Writing Catholic or Eastern is accepting the concept that this IS the church. Both mean something like true church. Hardly

Christian priests and ministers have added so many corruptions and disagreements to their religion that Christianity no longer became a valid absolute pure religion from God. Man's corruption and disagreements in the Bible had devestated the Bible's purity and accuracy. The religion of Islam on the other hand is a pure uncorrupted religion of God and it's prophecy of remaining like that until the day of judgment is still fulfilled.

Religion is why Jesus became angry at the Jews. Jesus tells us that we cant do anything to save ourselves (religion). It is because of what Jesus did that we are able to fellowship with God. Jesus says that true religion is to love God with all of our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbor as ourselves. So my vote is that neither orthodox or catholic is correct..
