If you are ever questioning taking him to the docotr then you should absolutley take him to see the doctor. He is old enough for potty training now, but make sure he is ready.

You can start with the potty training anytime now. Most boys start between 2 and 3 years old. I know i have to get my son a little potty training toliet here soon and he's close to two years old. and yes you should probably go see his dr about it. It may just be a simple little stomach virus.. I had one when i was younger my stomach would always hurt. Just watch what he is eating. It may be his stomach not getting along with one of the items of food.

I've potty trained two boys and one girl, so far. My girl was trained by about a month past her second birthday. My boys didn't take until they were almost three. I would buy him a pack of undies and a potty chair and see how he does. It'd be better to have what you will need handy and he can use it at his leisure than to not have the stuff.
As for the other... I would take him to his pediatrician and tell him what your son has been saying. It can't hurt to get a professional opinion. There may be nothing, but it'd be better to get him checked out and make sure.
Good luck!

If it is not normal for him to say those things, and he is in pain, I would take him to the doctor. Potty training is different for each child. You could start offering him the toilet now. If he won't go for it, you can wait until later. Some people offer rewards like "big boy underwear" if he stays dry as an incentive.
Is your child running a fever along with his belly ache? I would still take him to the doctor to make sure.

You should start potty training when HE is ready. He will let you know. Maybe he has seen something where someone got hurt in the stomach, maybe on television? The way to find out if something is wrong is to gently apply pressure to his tummy if he doesn't flinch or cry then he is fine. If he appears to be hurt then take him to the doctor.

i wouldn't be too concern. If you are taking him to a doctor anyways I would just mention it so he can listen to his tummy. Did your son ever have a boo boo on his tummy in the past or maybe was he down with a stomach flu in the past? Sometimes young children remember a boo boo from the past and brings them up, my 2 1/2 still points at his finger that was slightly burnt about a month ago and wants me to kiss it and says ouch.

My daughter just turned two and she is potty training. I let her give me signs that she was ready. My daughter would take off her diaper and pee & poop on the floor. But there are tons of different signs of potty traning readyness , so try now, 2.5 yr he's probably ready. As for his tummy, I'd call the doctor

He could have something wrong but he could also realize he gets attention from saying his belly hurts. I would take him to a doc. The potty training thing, his age is a good time to start introducing everything to him, buy him a potty and big boy pants and show him everything. If his father is there, let him watch him pee! Good luck!!!!!
