cares anything about find it exalting to call people who answer their questions 'Dumb'? i am not a scientist and i doubt many of us on this site are, so why do some people have to cut and paste scientific information that no normal human would know anything about and then call everyone who answers dumb for trying?

Your right....Why? Because they are miserable human beings because they have a huge hole in their lives where God and morality should be.

The question is:
"Do so-called 'intelligent' atheists and agnostics who post long boring questions that no normal human being...cares anything about find it exalting to call people who answer their questions 'Dumb'?"
Distilling this somewhat, I get "Do atheists find it exalting to call people who answer their questions 'Dumb"?" The use of "exalting" in this sentence is problematic, as it is a verb being used as an adverb, to describe the process of calling people dumb.
Now, "Are atheists exultant to call people who answer their questions "dumb"? I'd have to say that yes, quite often they are. I would say that they find it exhilarating. It is obvious that those who call others "dumb" do so in a rather gleeful tone most of the time. These are people who have not asked questions for the purpose of gaining information, but to debate. They use poor form, and often do the same things of which they accuse others ("Do I have to dumb this down even more for you" is an ad hominem attack").
What I don't understand is why you would care about what anyone thinks of your answer in the first place; but if you do, either avoid this kind of discussion or report messages that attack other members if it bothers you that much (there is a report category for that).

okay... so I didn't even read the whole post, but can assume that it's yet another attempt to make someone seem better than everyone by asking about the proof of exisitance of things. Well to quote David Auburn in the play of "Proof" (yes they made it a movie)
"Can you prove it?"
"No, but I can try to disprove the opposite."
Things exist because we believe in them. There is no 'logical proof' of much of anything, other than the fact that we believe it to be there.
Most people who ask questions like that in a place like this are bored, un-educated people who prepare these questions for days on end just to get a rise out of others. If only they would put their efforts towards something more productive, or even some constructive, they may find that they would no longer need to ask such questions, as they may be able to discover the knowledge of such things on their own.

I'm an atheist and I care about many things, and it is not bad to have an opinion. This forum is meant for giving opinions. It's encouraged. And if you don't know something, it is dumb to guess at an answer. If you're not interested in a question or find it boring, don't answer it.

What you are saying with this question is that you do not want to question your beliefs, you just want to accept them as told to you. Why would you be willing to accept the very fabric of your system of thinking without being willing to examine the validity of that system? That is the thought process that leads to all human suffering.

If you're not a scientist, don't answer scientific questions. Moreover, I don't recall seeing your credentials, so who are you to judge who is or isn't intelligent. Remember the Sermon on the Mount.

Well, lets see, you were insulting and in your answer insinuated the person answering the question stupid for their way of thinking.
They in return said said they would have to dumb the question down for you.
Seems to me you insulted them and they in return insulted you.
You are no better then they for your name calling, nor they then you for theirs.

If you as a Christian admit to not being a scientist, then why do other Christians impose their "pseudo-science" in the classroom when they can not claim to be scientists?

Silly Nikki...maybe they (mistakenly, apparently) assume that other people would like to become smarter too.
Why are you threatened when you are challenged to think?
