It depends on the situation. If you get along with your parents or whatever and they don't mind you staying, I'd stay for a while. I know I wouldn't buy a new sportscar. If you are dead set on a sports car and living and home, buy a nice older one so you don't have to make as many payments. Maybe a nice older mustang(if thats your thing) or even a '93 300zx. Its not worth having something new just find something nice with low miles and older(I'm not saying like a 1984 Buick Skylark). But me personally, I'd move out. But if I could do it over(and wasn't engaged), I would have stayed home and saved up some money.

i would move out because just gettng a sportscar well i good as getting out of the house (preferably your parents )
and if u live with them and u ave a sportscar instead of thinking u bought that by your self pepople would think that yur parents bought it not u.
if u bought a house later u could by a sports car and still NOT live with your parents either.....see it will all work out if u buy somthing u want after somthing u need.

Stay home for a year, save your money, do not buy the sports car, move out unless your needed to help ailing parents. You went to college be smart about your choices. Sports cars are fun but with gas expensive as it is, I would save the money and move out when possible. In the end a car is just a car and you can find sporty cars without having them cost a bundle. Be smart.

Interesting... my friend and I was just discussing this the other day. I'm the one at home with my own car, and he's the one with his own place (he has roomates). In my case, I'd love to get out of the house. I have people nagging me for everything. Besides that, I've got free food, shelter, and a room.
In my friend's case, his school is down the street, and most of his life is around campus anyway, so he doesn't have a desperate need for a car. Besides, if he needed, he could get rides to where he needed to go anyway. However, he doesn't like his roomates, and is looking for another place.
We both compared our situations, and in my opinion, it breaks even. If you have the money to buy a sports car, don't do it. Save it, invest it, or spend it on something that would get returns to you (truckers license, body shop certificate, mechanic). If you feel that you have to leave your house, and you are responsible enough to get out there on your own (without roomates) go for it.

If I lived at home, then graduated, then got a job I would move out and buy a used car for transportation. A new sports car is for when you hit the big time, either in your job or at the lottery booth.

Ok, so you got 2 choices..... Buy a car or get your own place. Hmmmmmmmm.. Gee thats hard. Well, if you get the car, you can get around, even pick up chicks. If you get your own place, you cant really get around, you gotta bum rides or ride the bus, but when you get chicks, you'll have your own place.
If it was me, personally, I'd take the car, and when it comes to getting chicks, you either go PARK, or you get a room at the Motel 6. Getting your own place wont help you with school, if anything it'll probably screw things up. Trust me on this one....

I would move out and save your bread. Sports cars are overrated anyway and you'll pay through the nose in insurance and maintenance. I drove a second hand car and still do at thirty plus, but I don't live with my parents and have a better relationship with them as a result.

Be smart, if you have the choice to stay at home, save your money up and move out buying a condo.Once you are a home owner, any dealership will give you a car because you have property equity.

college sure ain't teachin you nothin, support yourself ,the folks might take buying a car as a sign of disrespect, they let you stay there to save money so you can go school and this is how you show your thanks, pay them rent and they could get themselves a sports car
