I think the religion section should be broken down a little more diversely. It seems that the main ones in the religious sections are the Christians. And no, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being Christian, you believe what you want to believe, as that is your right, but it seems when someone of a different faith (Muslim, Pagan/Wiccan) comes to ask a question regarding their faiths or beliefs, they get slammed. If this is a religious/spiritual section, shouldn't they, too, be allowed to express their beliefs, or ask questions of others of similar mind?
I'm not suggesting there be a separate section for every religion, that would cause too many problems, but I do think it needs to be broken down in some way/shape/form. When I figure it out, maybe I'll suggest it to Yahoo.

This room is for Religion & Spirituality. It does not say if you are not of a common religion you can not come here. We need to be accepting. This room should be for any and all beliefs and spirituality. There are thousands of diffrent kinds. Maybe this room need's to be more welcoming. You find that people with the non-traditional beliefes going to mythology and folklore. Well if it is listed as a religion than we should all be welcomed in this room. And people should be polite and respectful of all belliefs I know that most religions say to preach the word and that they are suppost to convert. But it does not mean that people need to be hateful. If you do not understand somebody else's religion then ask and learn. That is all we can do is learn about each other and that is the only way we will have a better understanding. You do not have to believe anybodys but yours,, but you should respect there beliefs...I respect yours...please respect mine and that it is a religion and full of spirituality.

No, I come here because I find religion interesting, the same way I find science, math, literature, art, history, and many many other subjects interesting. I don't make fun of others, I don't say I am more intelligent then others who do believe, I don't demand answers. I do however enjoy learning how others believe and hearing opinions that are different from mine. Just because I don't believe in God doesn't mean I am not surrounded by religion, it is a major part of the culture of the US, I see aspects of religion almost daily. Many people find Greek mythology very interesting, yet nobody tells them they shouldn't be discussing it because they don't believe in those Gods.

I don't agree... Reason being that when I was looking for God, the same people that were supposed to help me along my path, were the ones that turned me off to it.
There are a lot of God's 'soldiers' that are failing him horribly because of their fanaticism of religion. Its rather ugly... So I stick to following the commandments to the best of my ability and praying to God every night.
You shouldn't be JUDGING the people that so called come here to "only to make fun of, to exalt themselves as intelligent...and even to demand". You should be informing them with your beliefs, not force them onto them and lead them to the Lord. Not arm them with the ammunition to attack and make fun of "religious freaks".
"Yahoo answers in all of it's wisdom didn't give them a category...they found that idea to be...well...irrelevant!"
VERY Very UGLY.... Wassup with that?

I think that the nonbelievers who come here have every right to be here.. not that they have a right to make fun of us who do believe, though..
I don't try to force my beliefs on anybody.. I tell them what I think, and what I believe and offer it to them..
If they refuse it, I can only have pity on them, and pray for their lost souls.. I don't come here to fight, nor to antagonize people, but, by the same token, I'm not going to ignore those who ask ridiculous questions just for the sake of arguing and them trying to be something they can't be.
Your question is a good one. Keep exploring and, hopefully, some day, you'll see things the Baptist way.

I belive but don't push religion on no one that I will agree on . but a question is a question and here is where there answer might be. you always get more then enough answers and the chiose is still yours to belive or not belive.after all you asked one two.as you said.

No, this is an open forum. If you wish to discuss religion, you must expect to encounter those with opposing views. The non religious people who post here often do so to show that alternatives to your belief system not only exist, but are based on logic. You need to read their responses and questions to learn more about your own faith as well as the beliefs of others. Not only does this make you wiser, but it also broadens your mind.

Well I agree but it happens to non believers here too. There is always someone trying to rile things up. I try to ignore them when ever possible or report if it gets out of hand. They need prayer too and have an interest/curiosity about it or they would hang else where. Just throwing my opinion in the opinion pool, Hope that helps ☆´¨)

Religion is always a hot topic. Many use this forum because they won't be interrupted and also they do not have to take any responsibility for stupid, ignorant, uneducated responses.
People are always trying to prove that other religions are wrong and theirs is the only way. What they fail to realize is that religion is faith and a way of life, nothing more. A person personal choice should be respected and not ridiculed. as long as it does not harm another.

It would be like having an "I don't watch sports" category. No, that wouldn't make any sense. But if you have problem with sports, or think sports is bad for the world, what category should you go to in order to talk about it? That's right, the sports category. I have a problem with religion, and I think religion is bad for the world, so here I am.
