A lot of answerers jumped right into the assumption that "premarital sex" means people in teens and early 20's. Let's look at it a different way- someone like me, a woman in her 30's. I do not know if I will ever be married, nor do I know if I will ever have children. I know my body and can make a rational deicsion about who to share my bed with. I am very comfortable with my sexuality, and not judgmental of others'. Why? Because I learned the hard way- through trial and error. I made mistakes but also learned a lot along the way. The only way for a person to learn about sexuality is to learn about sex. Not what sex means for other people but what sex manes for them. For me, even though i might be single my entire life, I want the intimacy and touch associated with a devoted sex partner. Not everyone is the same, and you cannot hold everyone to the same code of ethics you believe in. Some people are more mature than others. One of the greatest gifts we are given as human beings is the right to choose our sexuality, and how we express it and live it. I chose to explore me, and it was right for me. I have had some extremely rewarding experiences, and some wonderful partners. Maybe someday I will find someone to stay, but we both have to be going in the same direction. Being a young person starting or working a career can be very lonely.
Now look at another age range: people in their 40's or 50's who maybe are recently divorced or widowed. It is utterly ridiculous to say these people are not allowed to ever date and have sexual relations again without marrying the person they are interested in!! What about senior citizens? Life doesn't end at 25, you know!! LOL... we take it soooooooooo seriously when we are young but as you put sex in perspective you realize it is just another fascinating piece of this complicated state of life. Be smart about it, and I do not just mean physically safe. But for cripe's sakes let people enjoy their sexuality while they can!

Its a persons choice. Through premarital sex, theres been unwanted pregnancies,STDs,Fatherless children, etc.I cant see the positives on premarital sex besides the fact that you enjoy yourself for an hour. Then come to find out you have a baby momma.

Yes it is wrong.
You see it says in the Bible that "When a man commiteth fornication he sinneth against his own body. And for me the answer is a huge NO because I have been bought with a great price.
and to the person that said you have to see who your compatible with. What about when you find the one person you are and want to marry what a struggle it will be to think in your mind O that other person was better. If you never know how other people were you will have nothing to compare it too!

Premarital sex is so wrong it's right...some of us would never experience sex at all if we were waiting for marriage...especially when we are never going to get married.
Let the Scriptosexuals abide by their strange scriptural interpretations if it's what floats their highly unnatural boats.

I think that should be a personal choice. For me I choose to have sex with someone I care about and love--responsibly of course. I've had only two sexual partners, and even though the first relationship went sour, I have no regrets.
I think too many times people get trapped in a marriage with someone they weren't sexually compatible with. And I think it's worse to stay with someone you really don't love--simply because staying married is convenient.

Premarital sex leaves deep scars. Once you have sex with a person for the first time, you will always remember them and those wonderful moments. If these moments are turned into animal moments of pleasure, instead of giving them the sanctity that they deserve, we partially become like animals.
When a person indulges too much in premarital sex, he or she will forget the specialness of having a marriage partner. This results in divorces. Once you are raised to enjoy many types of foods, then later you are told you are forbidden now to taste the chinese food you liked so much and you are going to have soup the rest of your life, you will never be happy with your life any more, and continue at least to long for other foods that you enjoyed in the past. Sorry to bring food in all this..lol.
Those who have kept a single partner and dedicated their lives to each other are the most lucky people. Their children too have stablity in their lives.
Sex is the foundation of new life. Those who do not see the underlying reasons for chastity and commitment in the matters of sex will surely have unhappy life. One can turn around at any point surely, but the scars of the past will follow you around.
I hope this makes sense.

We met these sisters, Barlow's their last name
Ordinary girls they, don't live in the fast lane
They don't rate with the guys that score
Cause they don't flaunt what the boys want more
They don't date, they won't date
They wanna see how they're gonna grow up
And who they're gonna be
But in the meantime they might feel unloved
When all the girls around them are hooking up
But I know for sure, it's never popular to be pure
And while some guys might be passing them by
I think they've caught someone's eye
(CHORUS)
All the boys in the band want a valentine from a Barlow Girl
Boys think they're the bomb
Cause they remind them of their mom
All the boys in the band want a valentine from a Barlow Girl
Boys think they're the bomb
Cause they remind them of their mom
Everyone needs to be loved
Everyone needs their own teenage fan club
Any attention can feel like a good thing
Dress to impress can be oh so tempting
You can get noticed with your body
Sexual hypnosis by being hottie
You might feel like public property
You might you might you shouldn't be
No girl should feel she has to trade
Her body for love or be an old maid
And yes there are guys who are willing to wait
Just ask a Barlow girl on her wedding day
Chorus
(Rap by KJ-52)
Excuse me Barlow Girls
Now there's somthin' on my mind
See I was just wonderin'
Can I get a valentine?
Saw you walkin' by
And somethin' caught my eye
Now there is somethin' different 'bout u 3 girls I wont deny
Alright, I can't lie
Now you got it goin' on
And all the guys in the band
They be sayin' you're the bomb
But not from how ya dress or the clothes you're putin' on
We just look impressed for reason that you're holdin' on
for your wedding night
Alright, now let me keep it movin' on
Cause any girl can be a Barlow Girl
It's more then just a song
Am I wrong?
Don't think so
So spare me the drama
You remind me of my mama
oohh
All the boys in the band want a valentine from a Barlow Girl
Boys think they're the bomb
Cause they remind them of their mom
All the boys in the band want a valentine...

It's a choice. I did, and I was preferctly okay with my choice. I didn't think of it as being wrong, or a sin or anything. Of course, it's a personal preference. Just make sure you use protection.

It is right. The Christian Right is wrong. Just be careful. If someone gets pregnant, either abort the fetus or put the child up for adoption. Unloved babies grow up to be degenerates.
