An action is holy because God approves of it.

God doesn't choose whether an action is holy or not, leaders decide that god backs them in their 'holy' quest. How could the actions of the English and French againts each other in the olden days both be holy in god's eyes? joan of arc said she was told by god to kill the english, however the english kings believed that god had placed them where they were and that he was on their side.

What is holy is not an arbitrary decision by God. God is truth, God is love, God is goodness. Something is holy because it reflects the nature of God.

It is holy because God approves of it. God's will is holy, and so anything that is within His will is holy.

Holy means sacred whick means set aside. Instead of going on what others say including me, go to the Bible. It will tell you all you need to know about God, His laws, His love, etc. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy.It contains light to direct you, food to support you. The Bible---it is the Book of books.

I don't think an action is Holy. People are Holy. Mother Theresa's actions were charitible, she was Holy.
