Yes, it's happened several times. Usually it happens to people who had heart conditions before riding and didn't know it, or did know it and shouldn't have been riding, but there have also been cases of healthy people, even kids, dying due to heart attacks or neck injuries.

A little girl just died a couple weeks ago at Six Flags Great America in Dundee, Illinois. She had a previous heart condition & suffered cardiac arrest after riding on one of the roller coasters. Very sad.

yes, I seen where a 14 year old died at Disney world. She got off the roller coaster and slumped over dead. It also happened at another park earlier this spring. I think it was an 8 year old boy. They did an autopsy and he had some kind of heart problem.

I personally have never died from going on a roller coaster. But it's been known to happen. As you suggest, the stimulation could be unhealthy to an already diseased heart. In addition, there is the safety factor- though the device may have been tested it may possibly have a failure resulting in injury or death.

They can, but it's rare. The most recent I've heard though, there was an 11 or 12 year old boy that died on one a few months ago. I forgot what ride it was, but I think it was at a Universal Studios theme park, and the ride plays an Aerosmith song...

Yes, there has been reports of people dying on roller coaster but it is kind of rare. People with health conditions are encouraged not to get on in the first place. It's typically not from machine failure.

One guy at Great Escape fell out of the superman because he was overweight and the person who worked there didn't want to hurt his feelings. He fell out and the roller coaster like ran ofver his fingers or something. But yo should def. try them. They are the absolute coolest. Such a thrill.

Yes. A few people have died because they had a heart condition and didn't know it. One that I can remember recently was a child. Then there have been a few fools who have not worn their seatbelts properly or tried to stand up and fell out.

well not so much a heart attack as having the ride malfunction and lots of people die, but to be straightforward, yes people have died, but generally roller coasters are very safe
