OK people...I'd like to know what the age gap is between you and your partners. What age gap would you consider too old or young?

My hubby is 18 months older than me.
When you first meet someone & you find them attractive, would they suddenly look different if they fell outside of your set age bracket?

It completely depends on how old you are. My husband and I are 3 years apart. But if you are 15 and the other person is 19/20 - that is too far - at 15 you have no clue about life - you think you do but you don't. In high school I would say about 2 years. In college maybe 3 years - once you hit about 25 I would keep it in the 5-6 year range - just so you have some things in common with each other as far as when you grew up etc. My first husband was 35 and I was 19 - I would now say he was a pervert and I was way too young to realize - we had nothing in common.

There is no young and old when it comes to partners. If you love them, who cares what age they are. You cant stop having feelings for someone just because they are younger or older than yourself.. I've been with my partner for 9 years and knew him before we got together. He's caring, loving, romantic, full of fun and exciting!!! My partner is 61 and I'm 36. I was married to a bloke the same age as me and he treated me like crap. Older men push all the right buttons!!! My partner and I have a 3 year old together, he is the perfect dad doing all the norm things a younger dad would do, and is a great step-dad to my other 2 children .
I would not change him for the world!!!

4 years difference. I'm 4 years older.

No age gap is too old or young. Unless it's just sick. Like a 30 year old with a 16 year old. Or a 26 year old with an 80 year old.

Many men expect to be able to get a partner younger than them,
Makes me laugh it does,
Age gaps seem less important as you get older, e.g. when I was 18 a man of 24 seemed way too old,now 6 years or even 16 years seems like nothing of note

I am 9 months older than my husband...
My dad is 5 years older than my mom
My sister is 5 years younger than her husband
My in-laws are 7 years apart

I think it depends on the ages at the time they get together, like I think anyone under 25 shouldn't be with someone 10 years or older, that's just too much of a differance. But I think it would be ok for say a 35 year old to be with a 45 year old...
I really think it depends mostly on the people and their situations.

The gap between my first partner & myself was 19 years.
The gap between my present partner & myself is 12 years.
I don't think the age gap matters at all. It is how you feel & how the other person makes you feel that matters.
So long as you are both happy then its fine.

i think that it doesnt matter how old a person is or young when in a relationship as long as you are both of legal age and consent and you both trust each other, i dont think that it really matters, there is nothing wrong with it.

my partner is only 6 months older than me and we get on great however my mum and dad have a seven year age gap and so do they, my in laws have a 9 year age gap so it doesnt really matter

My b/f is 9 months older than I am. I think a gap of about less than 10 years is usually enough, otherwise the can be a difference in experience and energies.

i thought it was only 7 yrs... turned out its 13!
i consider a 10 yr gap still ok... but 13 was a shocker!
i dont want to be middle-aged, and end up having a senior citizen for a partner! or worse, start a family and have my children have a grandfather as a father.

We are 5 months apart. I have dated guys 5 years older and 2 years younger. Those were my biggest age gaps.
