First of all, stop taking the aleve. A dose of aleve is only 1 pill. Do not take any more pain relievers for at least 24 hours. Drink plenty of water. Massage the fleshy area of your hand that is between your index finger and your thumb, this will release endorphins that will help with the headache.

go to a chiropractor... this is not normal and could be a sign of something much more serious than a migraine... you should have some x-rays taken and a chiropractor is much less expensive to have x-rays taken than going to a general MD which usually use the local hospital for x-rays and charge for the hospital time as well as the x-rays themselves. also a chiropractor will not just give you pain meds and send you on your way... they will examine the CAUSE and work from there, not just cover the symptoms with pills.

good luck.

I guess you have to keep your kids at home. When I get migraines, I can't even take any pain relievers because I get so nausea. I'm glad yours aren't that bad. Good Luck!!

I find that an ice pack on the top of my head helps.

Otherwise, drink lots of water and exercise.
