Is it Med-i-chee or Me-DEE-chee or what?

An old Italian woman said it's Meh-DEE-chee. You wouldn't say SPA-ghet-tee.
An Italian teacher says MED-eh-chee.

"Me-' as in Medical
"-di-" as in Disney
"-Chi" as in Chit
