The most romantic place i know of is Amberley Castle, in the heart of Sussex. My friend had their honeymoon there and they didn't want to leave at the end of their stay.
Have a look at the website, it's really beautiful!
It's also nearish (about 30mins) to the main motorways to take you to London or to the South Coast

The Lake District. I personally like the Keswick area of the Lakes rather than Bowness because it's a lovely town that's not a busy.
There's a great hotel in the Lakes called The Samling which is a small modern country house hotel where Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman stayed when they visited that area of the country. It's not overly expensive, especially if it's for honeymoon.

We live on the west coast of Scotland and it is stunning and romantic whatever the weather. Hotels we have heard are good and but not hugely expensive are The Manor House in Oban, Inverlochy Castle in Fort William. The Crinan Hotel in Argyll. We had our wedding at a lovely little country house hotel on the Yorkshire Coast called Wrea Head - it's loke something out fo Agatha Christie and the food is fantastic. You can have a four poster room there and it won't break the bank, plus the staff will spoil you rotten.

I thought that the dictionary definition of honeymoon was "a short holiday after the marriage ceremony".
Surely 3 years later does not still qualify as a honeymoon.

Wow! Married three years and still honeymooning? Do you have a sister?
Just joking, I am faithfully married over 31 years, but this was too good to pass up.

I'd suggest Bank End Farm, Roadhead, Carlisle in Cumbria. My wife & I stayed there and it's beautiful beyond description. Lodgings clean and comfortable, scenery breathtaking, owners of the property most charming.
Here's a link to their site. The photographs do NOT do the place justice.

Surely you won't see outside of the bedroom anyway. Oh. You've been married for three years? In that case try Bath, Cheltenham, anywhere in the Cotswolds, London, Brighton, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh ...

Anywhere on the west coast of scotland. Find a nice hotel and then sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery and the tranquility.
