Louis would have done what Ali did. Out box him and wait him out. Sooner or later the tree will fall.

Joe Louis would never last more than 5 rounds with George Foreman. People tend to make Louis the favorite in too many fantasy match-ups. A prime Joe Louis was put on the canvas by many fighters, even light-punchers like Tony Galento. Imagine what a prime George Foreman could do. Foreman KO Joe Louis before the 5th. No other outcome.

Foreman - W 76 (KO's 68) TF 81 - W pct 94% - KO pct 84% - wins over Chuvalo, Frazier{2}, Lyle and Norton - KO'ed by Ali - #9 ranked puncher - #25 ranked fighter
Won 1968 Olympic Gold medal at Hwy wt.
Louis - W 69 (KO's 55) TF 72 - W pct 96% - KO pct 76% - wins over Canera, Schmeling, Bear, Conn[2], Walcott and Braddock - KO'ed by Schmeling and Marciano - #1 ranked puncher - #4 ranked fighter
When Joe had tax problems the govt should have done something to help him considering all the things he did for America during WW 2.
The outcome of this fight will be determined by whether or not Louis learned anything from the Schmeling fight and whether or not Foreman learned anything from the Ali fight.
Let's say they both did which means Joe will be cautious and George will not punch himself out. It will not be the vicious slug-fest that everybody expects I take the "Brown Bomber", Joe Louis in a 15 rd KO.

Very interesting matchup between two of the hardest punchers in boxing history with Joe being much quicker and the better boxer. Big George's best chance would be to get Joe early because after 7 rounds it would be all Joe Louis. I believe that George would rock Joe early on but Joe would respond with some brutal punches of his own. Both men would take a battering early on because of their brutal power punches but Joe would land that left jab to Foreman's face causing a lot of swelling. In the 9th round a bruised and battered Louis lands several vicious combinations having more left in his gas tank than big George forcing the referee to halt this exciting contest.

Joe Louis was a great fighter and great champ.I would give Louis a win over 10 rounds in this one by a TKO over George Foreman. Louis would box and pick his spots during this one. brawl. Foreman would eventually tire in this one and Louis wins

Joe Louis would win. Louis's lightning fists would have knocked Foreman out before he had a chance to get him first. His incredible hand speed and punching power would have conquered anyone else. The record says it all.

I go with foreman even though joe louis was a good puncher I never saw anyone hit as hard as foreman. If he could have learned how to box at all he might have been the greatest there ever was.

Big George would have the proverbially "punchers chance" ala the Michael Moorer fight, but the Brown Bomber was a much better boxer with plenty of power of his own. Joe Louis in a later round TKO.

I would take .......Louis tko round 9 against the young George. I actually would take the older George in this matchup thought he was smarter and would take punishment from Louis, but catch him in round 12 with those clubbing punches.
