The two are separate fields, however, they fit together like a hand and glove.
Math deals with numerical analysis concepts, while Engineering deals with theory and design concepts.
In maths you (generally speaking) have to stick to fairly rigid rules where as in engineering you have to be flexible in every way.
Hope this helps???

There are a lot of divisions of engineering that have to do with math. Like electrical engineering deals with a lot of probability. They also deal with logarithms and stuff like that. Enginnering basically has everything to do with math..

math doesnt deal with engineering, engineers do. math is just a mental proccess of dealing with numbers and natural laws.

You need algebra and calculus to be able to do the calculations involving stresses on materials, flow of liquids in piping, heat capacity and heat transfer, and so many other topics I can't even begin to enumerate them all.
If you can't handle math, don't even think about being an engineer!

there is NO field in engineering where you don't use some form of math.
You need Trig for building suspension bridges; you need algebra for lots of stuff; calculus for dealing with anything that changes over time.
Most engineering schools have you take 2 years of calculus, minimum.
