trail mix is actually a pretty good choice as long as you're not eating like 5 cups of it a day... measure out a certain amount into a cup or bowl. trail mix is fairly high i calories, however, it's also very filling.... the dried fruit is high is fiber and the nuts have lots of bulk and "good" fats and oils. also you really have to chew it which gives your body the impression you're eating something hearty and filling.

Fruits would be my first suggestion.
Granola or cereal bars (mind the calorie count - some are better than others).
If you've got the munchies, try drinking a large glass of water (which can help you feel "full"), or chewing on some gum (which helps me with the need to be chewing on something).

it depends on what is in it.. your best bet is to look a lo-cal version up online & make it yourself.
Most dried fruits that are storebought have a lot of sugar in them
Also you want to put good nuts in your trail mix, like almonds & cashews b/c although they are fatty it's a "good" fat, & it they will provide you with protein
Raisins are alwasy good to throw in b/c they add fiber

yogurt, I like vanilla yogurt with wheaties and strawberries, bananas, nature valley bars. Yep trail mix is loaded, bummer huh!

Pistacios or any kind of nut. Has protein, yes it has some fat but it's a kind that's good for you. Plus it's salty so you don't grab for chips. :) And of course any fruit or veggie.
