I don't work directly with her. We both work at the same place, but hardly see each other.

I would say make damn sure she likes you and will give it before you do that. Imagine how uncomfortable it would be if she said no and then you had to see her all the time.

My answer would depend on the person as to whether or not I wanted to date him. If I said no, I would go to work and still treat that person with respect and not make an issue of it or tell anyone.

too vague a question -- the correct answer is "it all depends" -- if the calling party is a bill gates..I would say yes, however if the calling party is the head of Hezbollah -- I would say no...think about it.
PS. working with means what? the boss or the office clerk....again -- too vague a question.

I would never date someone I work with. If things don't work out it could be awkward, rumors could start and you don't need that...
