I'm so sick of these plastic little mini-skirt wearing pompom waving snots who all of the guys fall for cause they're so beautiful......does personality even matter anymore???? Yeah I have a brain and I use it but that seems to be a turnoff.....why????
And I know not all cheer leaders are snots but all of the ones at my school are.

Why ever not? You can totally go alone. I think the reign of the cheerleaders is an American thing. I live in the UK and in my prom several people went alone. Probably more people will in yours than you expect. Yep personality does matter but teenage boys are too young and testosterone crazed to realize that now, they will son enough.
You say your brain is a turnoff, well do you really want to go out with a guy with a lower IQ than yours, whom you can't hold a sensible conversation with? If you are shallow like moi and do have a weakness for these guys just talk less, smile more but by no means change who you are (don't reduce you integrity by sporting a lil mini-skirt and a brainless smile).
Some guys find clever girls threatening reduce this treat, if you're getting a funny feeling from a guy, just say "I don't bite" and smile. Do a bit more ice-breaking, even if you don't get a date for the homecoming, trust me it is not the end of the world (even if it does feel like it).

In high school? You really think brains and personalities will matter..in high school? Nice thought but not likely to happen. Why don't you ask a smart guy with lots of personality to go to homecoming with you? Is it possible that the only guys you are giving a thought to are the 'beautiful' and/or popular ones? I bet you are because I guarantee there is some boy in the chess club or in the science club or in the band somewhere or maybe a boy that just spends his time alone and belongs to no club that would love to go to homecoming with you but you won't give him a chance. Practice what you preach honey! If you think your brains and personality should matter then theirs should too!

i think personality counts. those plastic little mini-skirt wearing pompom waving snots are so full of it and they obviously don't have the brains to think. they'll go to the prom, drink beer, get drunk, make-out and end up getting laid becuz they are so stupid! i mean it's a typical thing. they like to show off, and be skanky $lut$, oh god! i could go on forever about this stuff!!!!

pretty girls aren't always smart. and guess what? pretty girls won't get anywhere if they don't have the brain. personality matters the most and there are always guys out there who knows that personality matters...u just have to find them. it's a turnoff that you have a smart brain because people think smart people are geeks and nerds...and i don't think they'll ever really know what it's like to be us...it's hard to explain but that's what i have to say. cya...good luck.

I wonder if girls like you hated me when I was in high school. We don't have cheerleaders but we didn't have group os friends and guys always asked me. Well, I can't really help you there, but why don't you use that brain of yours and come up with your own answers if you think your that smart. Just because guys ask us and we have friends doesn't mean we're stupid

Why would you want to go to homecoming? Homecoming is for losers who are posers who are trying to be popular. If you want to be unique do something else that will benefit your life. Besides all those cheerleaders will end up with kids and boyfriends who have no jobs and drink everyday.

personality of course matters to me. I look first and foremost for a girl who can hold a conversation.

i dont know what guys your talking to, but assure you not all guys are like that. In fact, a mjaority are not like that, you just have to find them.
