My Mom made this recipe for Christmas last year and it disappeared almost immediately. Everyone was raving about it.

2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6 to 8 bananas, sliced
2 cups milk
1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.
In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

fruit bombe

oil the inside of a plastic container (that is why i have all this tupperware)
lightly whip a carton of whipping cream with a small carton of double cream
break 12 meringues into the cream
lightly fold through
fill container
freeze for 24 hours
take out approx 2 hours before serving
turn onto serving plate
just before serving drizzle some fruit compote over it

yum!!!

strawberry log

slice some swiss roll into one inch thick slices
lightly whip some cream
open two cans of strawberries
arrange slices of swiss roll onto serving plate - 2 across and five long
drizzle some sherry onto slices
arrange some strawberries over the slices
cover in cream
repeat three times
then cover whole thing in cream
let sit for a couple of hours to let the sherry soften the swiss roll
then add some decoration and serve

trifle

everyone knows how to make trifle but definitely you need to add a good dash of sherry to the sponge

rice pudding

oven proof dish
cover pudding rice in milk and add some sugar
cook in oven
serve hot with syrup, jam or sugar
serve cold with a great big spoon!!

i could go on but will show some restraint - unlike when i get my hands on some of the above.... :)

ooh strawberries dipped in chocolate - very classy looking and very easy and really yummy - dont cover the whole berry - melt the chocolate - dip the fruit in - can use any fruit really and set on greaseproof paper to cool

There are easy recipes on the boxes of instant pudding, all of them are good. Ordinary pudding with cool whip on top is a treat. I like chocolate the best.

You can't beat a good ol' trifle. All you need is a swiss roll, chopped up and placed into a bowl of jelly (while the jelly is still water). Pop that in the fridge and let it set. Meanwhile, get a tin of custard and a tub of whipping cream. Add a layer of custard to the set jelly and pop back in the fridge for a wee while. Then add a layer of whipped cream and a few 'hundreds and thousands' to finish it off.

Voila! Enjoy your party:)

get a container, pour roughly two 2ltre carton orange juice and one jif lemon juice, 6 green apples, 6 red apples, 4 oranges, a pineapple, 6 pears, 6 kiwi fruit, red and green grapes. cut them all up into little chunks and add to container, and u have a fruit salad and it will only take 30 mins at them most, u may need more or less depending on how many people to serve. u will need the lemon juice, to keep the fruit from browning. hope it helps.

Vanilla or either Jello- o!!

I would go with jello-o

Hope you have a great party! Oh one more thing: Put the jello-o into some wine globets( hope your parents have some) that would make them look very presentable( be careful with them though)!!
