You have to take the color OUT before you can add color to your hair. Why not use a dye that has peroxide in it? That way you remove and add all at the same time?

You would have to do the same process each time you color your hair. There are different types of color that will lift your hair to a certain level without having to double process it. It's best to go to a salon and have it professionally done to have it done properly. Bleach removes all the pigment, then you will be putting pigment back in, it's sort of a waste to do that unless you want a pale bleach blond. It really depends on the color you want to achieve.

if your hair is naturally very dark, grab a friend to help you! have your helper put the lightener on starting 1/2 inch from the scalp. when it's almost where you want it, then do the roots. if it's stuck at orange or gold, do it again. make sure you do the roots LAST!! this is very important. when you tone it (a gell gloss color to make it the right blonde) use something that says violet or cool or natural. if youtr hair goes light violet, just mix some powder lightener with shampoo and work it thru. it will be perfect in seconds. get your products at sallys not a drugstore. good luck!

you have to just bleach it, but when you do it you have to be very careful that you get on scalp bleach, because if you don't you will really iritate your scalp, and you could have sores and it will be very itchy. But make sure you just use bleach and make sure someone else is doing it for you, I made the mistake of doing it myself and it didn't come out good at all. I had to color my hair back to brown because it looked so awful.
Plus it depends on what kind of bleach your using.
When you put color over it, are you talking about a Shadezy Q? To make the color not so yellow?
Good Luck;)

Bleach first, then dye.
I do it all the time. Use Garnier 100%
It's a high maintenance hair do for someone with dark hair and it's hard on your hair, so I only do it in the summer. I go darker in the winter, then bleach it out again in the spring.
I have great hair.

I recommend getting it done by a pro or you may end up with oragne hair, or really bad unevenness. Remember that once you start bleaching your hair, you will have to do it frequently or you will have horrible looking roots. your hair will be FRYED, so get it trimmed about 1/2 inch every month. this will help keep your hair healthy, and it will help it grow better. i recommend Mane 'n' Tail conditioner. Its usually sold in the pet section, but its famous for being awesome on human hair

if you want blonde hair - go to a salon and have it done. Trust me, if you do what you say you are going to do, you will ruin your hair!!!!! It will look really bad
