Leg cramps at night can be prevented by taking calcium at bedtime. It's good for your bones, too.

Drink alot of water, take medication such as aleve, midol or Motrin, remember to take it with food so that it doesn't upset your stomach. Also use a heating pad on the affected area, usually for menstrual cramps, the pad works best on the hips, or lower back. Also a little exercise can reduce cramps.

A couple of things work for my leg cramps. I take a liquid mixture of magnesium and calcium before bed. Also eating a banana before bed too because it has potassium.YOu could always munch on a couple of "Tums" or Rolaids once in a while if you can't get a hold of any calcium.It takes time but eventually they'll go away with the addition of vitamins.

Dehydration can be a cause of cramp. Drink 2.5-3 litres of water a day, put a pinch of salt into the water as electrolyte loss through fluid loss can cause cramp.

The best thing I ever took for cramps is Aleve. Serious. I don't know why you get them so much, but some women just do. Good luck managing them. (Also exercise, drinking water, reducing salt, and applying heat are said to help.)

If you're talking about menstrual cramps, I get the very badly too. I get on the treadmill and drink a TON of water and that honestly helps. As far as medicine, I've tried them all and ibuprofen works for me.

If you can get hold of a pill called Feminax (available over the counter in the UK) I'll guarantee you'll have no more cramping problems, I'm still looking for a good period painkiller in the US.

I agree with the Aleve comment. You also might want to ask your doctor to evaluate you for endometriosis or irritable bowel syndrome. Both of those conditions can cause lots of cramps and both of them can be managed somewhat with diet and lifestyle changes.

well you cant really cure it but here are some things you can do put a warm cloth on your tummy it works for a little while, drink lots of water, move a round a lot because if you stay one place you will notice it more but also sometimes birth control can help it helps me but its different for everyone.

some say that it is a lack of salt in your diet that starts cramp off - I only suffered when I was pregnant (in the later stages so it isn't a sign of pregnancy)
drink plenty and make sure you exercise
