Religion is really just evil in disguise – the Devil’s work.
Religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began. There is considerable evidence to classify religion as evil, and talk of religion (Gods etc) should be banned. Because the records prove over and over again throughout humanity that religion is clearly responsible for crimes against humanity, taking part in any religious activity should also be outlawed and made a criminal offence.
The world would be a much happier and peaceful place if religion ceased to exist. Although there are some decent religious believers and preachers, they are unwittingly spreading evil around our world, and that they should simply keep their beliefs and thoughts to themselves in the best interests of humanity, or suffer the consequences for their actions.
People should consider that the world would be like Heaven if religion ceased to exist, but all the believers and preachers have turned the planet into Hell.

Absolutely not. The Christian religion has caused the deaths of far more people than all the bombs, both nuclear and conventional ever made!
The world would be a far better place if religion were removed from politics, education, business and any other sphere other than personal belief.
Non Christians are far more tolerant of others beliefs. Are far more moral and much better citizens than Christian zealots.
Keep your beliefs to yourself and stop trying to force your doctrine on others.

Probably.
And people would still believe the world was flat, humans walked side-by-side with the Dinos like the Flintstones, and that the entire universe revolved around the Earth.
Like many of the bible-thumping states still believe.

NOPE... I believe the opposite. I think if people had a better understanding of science they would all understand God better and come to realize that religion... is not only unnecessary but quite man made and has very little to actually do with God, anything He wanted for us or tried to teach us through his very imperfect ( but learning ) creation called man.
I could find God in a book on conductivity faster than I could in the book of Mormon...

In past there used to be more religion and less science. What we see today is an evolution of the society. Had it been other way round it would have been 'devolution'.

I know its a gamer question asked in sarcasm but I have to say there is a place for science and religion. They do not need to be against eachother.

Sure, because premature babies don't need help to breath, and cancer patients don't need chemo, and a person with an amputated leg does'nt deserve to walk again...
The world would be a very sad place without science.

Seeing as religion has been the centerpiece to most ancient and modern wars, as well as terrorism, I would have to say no.
