I've always rubbed crisco over the bottom and sides of the pan, and then put a bit of flour in the pan and tilted the pan back and forth to move the flour until it sticks to the crisco on all sides of the cake pan. I think it makes it easier to get the cake out of the pan that way.

Yep. the forged crisco works nicely. Take a paper towel, get a chew interior the towel and rub around the cake pan so a skinny layer coats the completed ingredient. Then take a sprint bit flour, upload to the pan and 'sleek' around till the crisco is lined in flour. upload batter, bake, take excitement in

My mom uses a trick of greasing it with Pam and then sprinkling the pan with sugar. It makes the crust of the cake taste much better (but doesn't work all that well for cakes you are going to frost).

I always use Pam cooking spray and it works really well. All the food chefs on tv usually butter the pan and dust it with flour.

I choose butter and then flour the pan (so that the batter doesn't "fry" on the outside). If you're cooking chocolate cake, use cocoa powder instead of flour so that you don't have white stuff on your cake.

They make these great sprays that already have the flour and oil mixed. You just have to spray the pan evenly
