Valuable, or worth most $?
its main value is a life sustaining eco-system, not especially human greed.
1. water & the water cycle itself to start with.
2. then most of our weather (most of the processes & feedback cycles are based on the oceans).
3. then the cycles such as sodium. How would we have life on land if micro organisms on the ocean did not return it to the atmosphere after it is washed down by rivers etc.

3. marine life, esp photosynthesizing organisms who provide earth with oxygen!
