I have had curly hair ALL MY LIFE. I used to hate it. I did notice a BIG difference in my hair after I startred coloring it in high school. It seemed to control the frizz. I didn't change the color much but the chemicals seem to relax it to the point of the fizz being gone. That's the only reason I color it now and I color it as close to the natural color as possible. I know you said you wanted natural hair so straighteners are out. Tried that once too.......they cook and fry your hair REALLY BAD. You think you have frizz now? Try straightening it with a chemical.....it will be straight and frizzy/burnt. Take my word for that one...don't do it.
Now all I do beside coloring it once every 3-4 months (reason I color it my natural color, I don't have to do it as much) I wash it wrap my head in the towel to absorb extra water for about 10-15 minutes. Use a little gel or a tiny bit of anti frizz serum. I let it get pretty close to being dry before I use the hair dryer. If I don't wait mine gets frizzy. I usually put my hair up after I get it dry.
Putting it up keeps me from looking like the red monster on the bugs bunny cartoon. I've learned to live with it and have straightened it with a good ceramic straightening iron but I've decided the curl looks better.

I have very curly hair, it's even more so on the under side at the nape of my neck. my close friend is a hair stylist and she had me buy this stuff called " Blends " it's made by African Pride . I use it every day and my hair retains the curl but in silky lustrous locks, I even use it when I straighten my hair, and it never frizzes and it stays glossy and silky (be sure to use a ceramic straightener) without the need of any other products. I buy the carrot & vitamin E creme conditioner, but their are other blends that might be best for your hair type.
And it's also cheap, I purchase mine at the Dollar General, the stuff you buy at the salon has the same ingredients (yes, we checked) but you pay four times the amount. It's $2.50 at the dollar store.
Hope this helps you....it worked wonders for me.

I know exactly what you mean!
I have curly hair and for the longest time I fought it...I tried every product, every straightner I could get my hands on...and at the end of the day all I had was FUZZ!
I worked in a bookstore in college and found "Curly Girl" and it literally saved my hair...made my curls managable and pretty! Now...I LOVE 'EM!

try Japanese hair straightening ! their is two ways of using it which many people do not know . The cold process is the one you want . I would suggest also the sensitive formula . It will keep your curls but at the same time it will control it from humidity and frizz...leave in hair conditioner is good but it will not hold up on really humid days

Get the book, "Curly Girl"!!! Saved my life. Shampoo is evil. All you need is conditioner (even cleans the nastiest of smoke out of your hair) and a little dab of gel, some scrunching, and voila! Your curly hair is beautiful!!!

don't straigten it...i have very curly hair too...sometimes i blow dry it straight, but if you checmically do it you don't have the option of wearing it curly!
try frizz fighting products. but dont go for the cheap stuff...most of those products contain alcohol and will dry out your hair making it even more frizzy.
