Depends on the person

i've had up to 20 shots of hard liquor and still managed to function relatively well. actually did it before going out to dinner on my friends birthday. didn't get sick, and didn't make a fool of myself either. i did get a little wild after killing a bottle of jack daniels later that night when we were partying. wound up wearing a gorilla suit, but that was all that happened. didn't get sick and no whiskey dick either.

note: i'm a very big guy, and can usually drink 3 guys under the table without a problem. i met my last girlfriend when she challenged me to shots of baccardi 151. she had 5 and gave up. i took 10 without a problem. i can also beer bong an entire six pack at the same time. funny thing is, what with being an athlete and everything i can usually only drink a few times a month, so i don't have a lot of experience drinking, just natural talent.

Try that link--it shows you your blood alcohol level with a 'calculator'. Nothing's 100% accurate, but this is a fun estimate if you want to get pretty close. There are too many other factors involved for it to be perfect.

I think there is a note at the bottom that tells you what the current standard is for 'drunk' (by law, as of August 2005) that matches up to a blood alcohol level you might get using the calculator. Good luck. ;]

For me, about four beers in two hours or so will get me drunk, but I've had about 20 drinks over an 8-hour period and been happily drunkenly in control of myself the whole time.

BTW, That person who said she can drink twelve drinks, but that she doesn't drink to get drunk, is totally lying. You don't have 12 drinks unless you're trying to get drunk.

A whole bottle of Frontera Merlot red wine in about 3 hours will totally wipe me out. I have seen teens try to drink wine too fast and puke like a bazooka. Gotta drink wine slow.

Depends on your height & weight... the heavier you are the more alchohol your body will absorb, which will cause you to get "drunk" slower.

Other factors also play a part.. how much you already drink, family history (genetics)

It depends on the size of the person and the persons ability to filter the alcohol out of their system.
