Great car, gas mileage is unparalleled. The drive is quiet and smooth. The interior room is oh so comfortable. All I can tell you is, get to your dealer ASAP, because with the way gas fluctuates, more and more people will be rushing to get a Pruis. Trust me, I know this, I work at a Toyota dealership and Pruis and Camry are like gold cards, there is not enough supply to satisfy the demand. Another thing, if your dealer has an 2006 Prius that is reasonable to your needs and is priced right, TAKE IT NOW, because you will be eligible for the tax credit that is in effect until March of 2007, but after September 30, 2006, it will be cut in half from $3,150. Hope this helps.

I have a 2004 Toyota Prius and 2006 Toyota Prius. Absolute love them. Very quiet, fuel efficient. I get around 45 miles/gallon.

I have a 2005 and I really like it! I get 45-50 mpg depends on weather and driving conditions. It handles really well on ice and in deep snow, which was very important to me.
Get the fully loaded version with the Nav system - you won't regret it!

i have had one for exactly a year..........it has been great, my battery went flat but i think small grandson had switched on lights.
i get approx 48mpg, nothing like the mileage advertised but that is probably the way i drive it. i do know that when crawling in a traffic jam it is costing nothing instead of costing twice as much being in low gear.
and my years road tax has just cost me only £30
