This lady made this "tator tot casserole" and for her husband to bring to work and I cant seem to get him to get me the recipe does anyone know the recipe to "Tator tot casserole?" I think it has ground beef cream of chicken? cream of mushroom? and tator tots I know there is more to it.. can you please help?

I make tater tot casserole, but it doesnt have ground beef in it but it is VERY good. One of my favorite meals. One bag of tator tots, one medium onion cut up, one 8 oz bag of cheddar, one 8 oz container of sour cream, one can or cream of mushroom or chicken, corn flakes, and a stick of butter.
In a cake pan pour in the tator tots and level them out. Sprinkle the cut up onion on top, use as little or as much as you would like. Then in a separate bowl mix together the sour cream, cream of mushroom, and cheddar cheese. Layer that on next. Then crush up the cornflakes and sprinkle all over evenly. Then Melt the stick of butter and pour on top as evenly as possible.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 30-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
This is soooo good. You can also subsitute a bag of frozen hashbrowns for the tots too. For a little extra you can cut up some ham and throw that in there too.

1 1/2 lb lean ground beef pressed into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan
1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup Mix sprinkled over the meat
1 Can Undiluted Golden Mushroom Soup (spread over the top)
As many tater tots as it takes to cover the soup
Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes
Serves 6

I make my tater tot casserole this way, but you can add items or change the soup base to suit your taste.
Brown 1 lb. hamburger, season with salt, pepper, and onion powder. Mix in one can of french style beans and a can of cr. of mushroom soup. Sometimes I put in a small chopped onion, or a can of Durkee fried onions from the can. Place in a greased casserole dish and place a layer of tater tots on top. Bake the casserole according to the tater tot direrctions, 400degrees for 20 min or something like that.
During the last 3 min, you can sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top.

1 lb of ground beef-cooked
1 bag of tater tots
1 can of mushroom soup
mix the beef with the soup and spread in a baking dish...place tater tots on top of beef mixture...sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake for about 30 minutes or until the tots and cheese start turning golden brown...
you can use cream of chicken instead of mushroom..also you can cook some chopped onions in with the beef...thats it!! very simple
