Personally, I find little dogs too yappy and more mean.. I always think of a big dogs to be gentle giants. Which do you like better and which breed? I own a Golden Retriever puppy right right now.. such a handful!!

I'm with you. Bid dogs are the way to go and all I've ever had. Most of my dogs have been sight hounds, afghans, pharoah hound, greyhounds, Irish wolfhound. Have also had a newfoundland and bearded collie and the beardie was about as small as I'm willing to go.

I like big dogs. I don't really have just one favorite, but I am going to buy a Tibetan Mastiff in a few months. As far as yappy dogs, they are that way because of their owners. Don't let a dog think he is the boss,(alpha) and the prob. is gone. I have had several dogs over the years and a wolf/hybrid. That was a favorite of mine I have to admit. He was 90% wolf and 10% Malamute. As a pup he looked like a little bear cub, so I named him Griz. Short for Grizzly Bear.

Both my husband & I are big dog lovers. We also find that small dogs are too yappy! We have a White Puli right now! It is a cool dog. check out the web site and learn more about them!

I've got a Golden puppy myself right now...turns 10 weeks in two days. :) I like big dogs because I love camping and swimming and wanted a dog who could run around with me and enjoy the beach. Little dogs are alright, as far as lap dogs go, I just think my lifestyle is a little too active for them to keep up. My husband calls little dogs "yappers," and has a hard time...um...putting up with them. ;) He loves little dogs that don't think they are Great Danes, though, and just chill. He likes those kind.

I like little fluffy dogs. I have a labX and 2 Shih tzus, the Shih tzus are my favourite; they aren't yappy, they love to be cuddled (that what they were bred for) and they look like puppies all their lives if you keep them in a puppy cut ;o) Oh and I forgot to mention, they don't shed tons of hair all over the place.

Yes, bigger dogs are better. The smallert ones are yappy, most of the time, and not so cuddly either. Who wants a dog you would have to protect from a cat? LOL

I like small dogs. Right now I have 3 wienies and they are different breeds, one is a long hair, one a dapple, and one regular and each one have different personalities they are cute. I use to have large dogs but I find the small ones are easy to take care of.

big dogs for the big cuddly factor and the feeling safe thing
little dogs for the little cuddly factor and the tote them anywhere thing

I have a 11 month old Rottweiler puppy and everyone thinks those dogs are BEASTS but they are gental giants she is the sweestest dog and knows when theres danger and when your playing around.

I personally enjoy large dogs... I have 2 German Shepherds that I enjoy having. It fits perfectly with my life style. The only dislikes that I have about the German Shepherd breed is that they're prone to have Hip and elbow problems (Hip/elbow dysplasia) and they also prone to have bloat (which is the leading cause of death with large dogs with big chests)
