The only reason why you have illegal immigrants is that you haven't prevented them from coming in- you could if you really wanted to. So, go to that website and watch that screen, and don't complain!
;) Mexicans are a great people, much more pleasant than the United Statesians, in general. And, obviously, it makes economic sense for them to sneak in to USA and clean some toilets and stuff there.
Just like it makes economic sense for prostitutes to migrate from Russia into Eastern Europe or Finland... Is it the hookers' fault? No! It's capitalism! :)
And, as for stealing your jobs- You mean, you are competing with them for those no-education jobs? Why don't you go back to school?
Demand that instead of rebuilding Iraq, why not rebuild Mexico? Or, better yet, skip the war with Iran and use that to promote jobs in Mexico. I'm sure they'd rather be with their friends and families.

Mexicans ARE very pleasant people, different values alltogether from the regular United Statesian.
In fact, the only reason why you are hurting at all from Mexicans doing work in the US, is because they don't pay taxes.
Of course there is also crime- They don't have welfare to help them out.
The easiest way is to implement the worker visa thing... Wasn't that one of Bush's ideas? That way they can work (doing work is alway good for everybody) and pay taxes for it too. Indeed, the amnesty makes sense, because without it, you might have those who are left out of the system... who are then likely to commit crimes.
And no. I don't live in a border state.

Hookers and illegals- Ok, I have a limited base of experience. But that's how it goes, legal or not. Spare me the morals!
Rebuilding or making sure Mexico rebuilds itself, would make sense for American Businesses, a better market for your goods. It's not "your problem", but you'd gain from it....
Why do I bother, will they check for my answers? No.

people bash mexicans because they need a scapegoat. Also if you haven't noticed Americans have a Loooooooooonnnnnggggg history of racism. The people spouting racism now, are just keeping the American tradition!
Also all those people who say Mexicans should fix their own country before coming here - take your own advice and go back to Europe!! At least mexicans aren't killing and mudering innocent women and children to live here - like your ancestors did.

JUST TRYING TO MAKE SENSE OF AND RESPOND TO YOUR QUESTION....LINE BY LINE...
Why such verbal abuse towards the Mexicans? - NOT MEXICANS BUT ILLEGALS
The only reason why you have illegal immigrants is that you haven't prevented them from coming in- you could if you really wanted to. - CORRECT
So, go to that website and watch that screen, and don't complain!
;) Mexicans are a great people- AGREED
much more pleasant than the United Statesians, in general. - SOME PLEASANT FOLKS HERE ALSO
And, obviously, it makes economic sense for them to sneak in to USA and clean some toilets and stuff there. - WRONG - IT MAKES ECONOMIC SENSE TO COME HERE LEGALLY AND DO THAT WORK
Just like it makes economic sense for prostitutes to migrate from Russia into Eastern Europe or Finland... Is it the hookers' fault? No! It's capitalism! :) - AS LONG AS HOOKING IS LEGAL THERE
And, as for stealing your jobs- NOT STEALING...BEING GIVEN THE JOBS BY EMPLOYERS BREAKING THE LAW
You mean, you are competing with them for those no-education jobs? -WHY SHOULD WE AMERICANS HAVE TO COMPETE WITH ILLEGALS?
Why don't you go back to school? RIGHT ON!
Demand that - NO...THIS IS AMERICA...WE HAVE FREE CHOICE HERE
instead of rebuilding Iraq, why not rebuild Mexico? - WE DIDN'T DESTROY MEXICO
Or, better yet, skip the war with Iran - HMMM...THE NEST OF TERRORISM AND A SOON TO BE NUCLEAR THREAT...I DON'T AGREE.
and use that to promote jobs in Mexico. - NOT OUR JOB...IT'S THE MEXICAN GOV'TS RESPONSIBILITY
I'm sure they'd rather be with their friends and families.- THEN THEY SHOULD STAY IN MEXICO AND WORK TO CHANGE THEIR GOVERNMENT

I hear a lot of that sentiment that mexicans are somehow better than americans, I don't know if I agree with that. If you ever get to travel, you quickly blow away all your suppositions about different kinds of people, because you quickly figure out that there's saints and jackasses in just about any ethnic group/country you'd care to shake a stick at.
The issue at hand is immigration, more specifically illegal immigration. As in 'not legal, no way', as in 'no, mexico cannot move in'. Mexico's not nearly as impoverished as they'd have us believe, and aiming all their hard-luck cases at our border is a terrific way of guaranteeing that they'll never really be poor in the future. Except for one...small...detail. A good percentage of the cross-border migration is now illegal, and one-way, meaning that they've come across, settled, and will only go kicking and screaming etc. That is, unless Congress et. al. finally get serious about enforcing the law, and I just don't know if they'll do it or not.
There's 2 proposals on the books, one from the House, which is 'no-BS' enforcement, and the other is the Senate's approach, which is basically 'amnesty/come right on in, y'all'-type thing.
My forecast is, 'spanish as a second language' classes all around, along with better locks on your car, doors, more cops, and ultimately, higher taxes.
Some cities and states, though, are taking the initiative, and enacting ordinances and other enforcement measures separately of anything Congress does. Some states are pressuring Washington to cover the additional incarceration costs and other support costs for having illegal aliens in their areas, and chances are, this issue will be fought over for a long time before anything is really done about it, and there's a pretty decent chance that, by that time, it'll effectively be too late in some respects, and we'll see another amnesty go through.
UN-fortunately, what this will also mean is a semi-permanent shotgun wedding to mexico, and things like the drug trade will REALLY hit their stride. It'll be fun! LOL

The people of Mexico are not in question...
Illegal aliens from Mexico and other countries are the issue....
And, don't blame the problem on the American people.... illegal aliens are not required to break the law and they are not required to steal from the USA. It is a choice... they choose to become criminals.
All jobs in the USA belong to LEGAL citizens. Anything an illegal alien does while illegally in the USA is a continuation of the crime they committed when they illegally entered the USA.
They should not profit from that crime or any subsequent crimes. But they do, then they try to justify their criminal activity.
Why don't Mexicans fight for their own country, instead of deserting it and illegally entering the USA to become a common criminal.... ? Deserting Mexico to slave for the Castillians only increases the power of the Castillians.... the money their slaves send back to Mexico ends up in Castillian pockets. Wake up gringo.
Nothing you can say will justify illegally entering the USA!!! It is a crime.
Mexico has a stiff fine and a prison sentence for illegal aliens. Why? Because it harms Mexico..... Get your priorities straight, free Mexico from the corrupt Castillian rule.... and get on with a good life in Mexico.
Breaking the law makes NO SENSE at all. It will not fix the problem.... it only exacerbates the problem.
This issue is not about ancestors... the immigration laws did not exist at that time... the laws DO exist now. Obey them. And stop trying to make it a race issue, it is not.

You are right, we should, and could have, prevented their entry, in accordance with what was laid down as preconditions for the 1986 amnesty .... this wasn't done ...
You are also right that racial slurs, from BOTH Mexicans towards Americans and vice versa, don't help the situation ... it is after all not about Mexicans ... it's about illegal immigration from ANYWHERE ....
You are wrong in your generalization that Mexicans are "more pleasant" than Americans ... there are shitbags in both countries ... can't for the life of me see how one can make such sweeping statements ...
Mexico is the world's 13th richest country, and could well afford to build up its own country without any help from anyone ... but unfortunately the corruption in Mexico means that the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and nobody in government in either Mexico or the United States gives two craps about the citizens ... here or there ...
There you have it!

1. why are we rebuilding Iraq? because we blew it up!
2. why would we rebuild or promote Mexico's infrastructure? that's Mexico's problem
3. generalizing anything, including the pleasantness of an entire nation, is never a good idea
4. why are illegals competeing for no education jobs? why aren't they in school? perhaps for the same reason many Americans arent? High poverty rates? Hello. It's a world problem, my friend
5. does it really make economic sense to be illegal? the fees to your runner. the physical danger. the psycological trauma to the children. the cost of capture and deportation. medical fees with no insurance. schooling costs are high in America, the public education is not always worth that high cost.
6. are you seriously comparing hookers and illegals?

United Statesian is not a word. I know Mexicans like to use that because they don't want to say American, but it is linguistically and geographically incorrect.
We are Americans whether you like it or not.
Mexicans are Mexicans even though the country is called United States of Mexico. You don't call them United Statesians.
People from the United States of America are Americans.
Sorry, pet peeve.

Fear creates anger and chaos, thus the world is made that way. I blame the media to be honest They have pushed the world to what it is now when they began displaying statistics and using them to make the world seem bad.
Most immigrants are turned around before they even get near the fence and those that do manage to get over often do not make it through the desert. I could care less about Mexicans or any other immigrant. Nobody was saying nothing in the 70's when military men were bringing back Vietnese women cause often the girls family paid these men to do so that way their daughters could have a chance.
Its even done today at times. Men by russian women often to meet and marry them then divorce them after they have had their way with them and leave them in the street. Americans need to look at themselves before we go and complain, we often are the cause of our problems more times then not.
People say the Mexicans are taking our jobs, funny, last I checked alot of people were not standing in line to get them when they were available to the very same people complaining about the fact.
Live and let live Mexicans work hard be they legal or not cause they have big families and often ask yourself would you not do anything you could to take care of your family the best way possible?

United Statesians....that sounds so stupid! That is why we call ourselves Americans. We cant blame everything on the US government. People themselves make the decision if they want to come into our country illegally. I know Mexicans (most of them) are good people. I know many and am married to one, but they will all tell you that they made the decision to come here, and face the problems along the way. So to blame George W for that doesnt make any sense. I am for the Senate bill and giving illegal immigrants a chance at the American dream.

No one says Mexicans are not great people. Illegal is illegal and making excuses for illegal behavior is wrong as crossing the border illegally. Stay home fix your own country. Bad mouthing America and then suggesting America fix Mexico ills isn't the answer. Obeying America's and Mexico's laws is is it is illegal in both countries to invade the others country as illegal Aliens do.
Blame America for Mexico's ills as everything else evil in the world.

Much more pleasant than United Statesians?
Use USA money to promote jobs in Mexico? (why on earth would they do that?)
Look, I'm not sure what abuse you're referring to, but your generalizations and general flying-off-the-handle tirade seems to be misdirected. The likelihood of the person who ticked you off actually reading your 'response' is slim at best.
Best of luck!
