Ii's called having a punchers chance. It happens much more frequently with unskilled fighters who are not properly covering and almost as often when a skilled fighter fights an unskilled fighter. The skilled fighter is watching for jabs and hooks, punches a trained fighter would throw but the unskilled fighter may throw wild unorthodox punches, ones which leave him open to getting stomped by the better fighter but because the skilled fighter is caught off guard he may not take advantage of the opening ang get tagged.A single punch, kick or throw can end a fight ,it's all a matter of placement.

One punch can turn a whole fight around. I don't know if it is common for a street fight to be ended by one blow.
Many of them are broken up and never go the distance.
Most of the fights I observe never have a clean blow. They usually clash up and then go to the ground.
The ones I see ended by one blow are usually sucker punches but I don't think that is a fight, that is an attack.

Depends.......if both know how to fight than a lucky well placed punch could turn the tide. If one guy has never been in a fight before.........probably not.
I've had a few fights...in and out of the ring. I've been up in rounds before and have been NAILED with an upper cut or hook and had my A$$ handed to me.
I've got one home video of me beating the living $hit out of one guy.......combination after combo...and this guy kicks my inside thigh and catches me with a hook as i'm leaning back in. Drops me like a sack of rocks. My mother cried when she saw that fight. Thought I was dead.
So yes......a lucky or well place punch/kick can easily change the outcome of a fight.

Very common, in real life and in competetion. Laying around on the ground doesn't do much, as you can see in all these UFC fights. Nothing happens until someone starts punching or kicking or actually trying to create a joint lock. You can't just sit there. Never give up because you never know when its going to turn to your favor.

Oh yeah it's common alright. I have been in a few fights getting my butt whooped, and have seen an opening, and bam, one punch and it's over. Also, have had it happen to me as well. In a street fight anything is possible. That's why if you are gonna do it, do it quick. Street fights tend to be over quick.

in a street fight anything goes and in this case there was someone with all offense and no defense. It is like the old saying goes defense wins championships. And the person who lost should have remembered that or taken heed to that.
