Just like to clarify a few points .
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, it is not an addition to the Bible, both books work together in LDS teachings.
Anyone practice polygamy will be excommunicated.
In addition to the 13 articles of faith that the other LDS mention,
We believe sexual intimacy is allow only between lawfully wedded husband and wife.
We also support Boy Scout of America.
We work for our living just like everyone else.
The major differences in reference to other Christian churches,
LDS is not originate from Catholic or Protestant.
We believe Joseph Smith was called by God to restore the church that Jesus Christ has set up in his ministry days.
We believe we are leading by a living Prophet just like the ancient times.
Strict you say? Its is a matter of opinion really.
Lets say I can choose to go church or not, but I choose to go every Sunday.
If you think we are missing out on the "fun" of this world, then I say the "fun of this world" is not exactly very healthy or inviting to me. ( I do not see why fun has to involved with alcoho or drugs, this is what I mean by fun of the world).

Mormons ARE Christians. Why does anyone think that they're not? They use the same Bible - also the Book of Mormon - which is just an addition to the Bible. They believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Also baptisms. They're not all that strict - tithing, no coffee or alcohol and no cigarettes. Plural marriages ended over 100 years ago, except for the 'castoffs' who still practice it.

The Mormon religion (Mormonism), whose followers are known as Mormons and Latter-day Saints (LDS), was founded less than two hundred years ago by a man named Joseph Smith. He claimed to have received a personal visit from God the Father and Jesus Christ (Articles of Faith, p. 35) who told him that all churches and their creeds were an abomination (1 Nephi 13:28; Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith – History 1:18, 19). Joseph Smith then set out to "restore true Christianity" and claimed his church to be the “only true church on earth” (Mormon Doctrine, p. 670; 1 Nephi 14:10). The problem with Mormonism is that it contradicts, modifies, and expands on the Bible. Christians do not have a reason to believe that the Bible is untrue or inadequate. To truly believe in and trust God means to believe in His Word, and all Scripture is inspired by God, which means it comes from Him (2 Timothy 3:16).
Mormons believe that there are in fact four sources of divinely inspired words, not just one: 1) the Bible “as far as it is translated correctly” (8th Article of Faith). Which verses are considered incorrectly translated is not always made clear. 2) The Book of Mormon, which was “translated” by Smith and published in 1830. Smith claimed it is the “most correct book” on earth and that a person can get closer to God by following its precepts “than by any other book” (History of the Church 4:461). 3) Doctrine and Covenants, containing a collection of modern revelations regarding the “Church of Jesus Christ as it has been restored.” 4) The Pearl of Great Price, which is considered by Mormons to “clarify” doctrines and teachings that were lost from the Bible (Articles of Faith, p. 182–185) and adds its own information about the earth’s creation.

There is no difference between Christians and Mormons, Mormons believe in God just as Christians do. Mormons make there own decisions and live with the consiquenses. They are not a cult, or a strict religion. They know the consiquenses of their actions (like most people) and hopefully, choose the right.
1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon this the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12.We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

I am Mormon. We believe in Jesus Christ. The name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Many people think we are not Christians, but we are. We believe that the gospel that was on the earth when Christ and his apostles were preaching has been restored. We also believe that there is a prophet of God on the earth today, who receives revelation from Him. We believe in treating our bodies as temples, which means we do not smoke, drink alcohol, take drugs, or even drink coffee. There is so much more, but it is hard to explain it all this way. Probably the biggest difference is the concept of a restoration of the gospel.
For example: most people categorize Christians as either being Catholic or Protestant, we say we are neither. We believe as protestants do that there was a great falling away from the gospel as established by Christ in the early christianity, the protestants rebelled against this and did their best to form their own religions according to the teachings of the Bible, we however believe that Christ restored His original gospel on the earth once again, that once again their are 12 apostles and modern-day revelations.
Here are the articles of faith - which are pretty good simplistic explanation of our beliefs:
1We believe in God , the Eternal Father, and in His Son , Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression .
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved , by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy , and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed , all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience , and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings , presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying , honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest , true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to gendure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Hope that answers your question - best wishes.

Mormonism is a 100 year old cult that mimics Christianity, the truth is they don't believe in Jesus, but reduce Him to the status of angel, and they like most cults are strict so that the adherents are brainwashed and controlled.

They believe in Joseph Smith who was a raging polygamist (married more than one wife) and his sidekick Brigham Young who was also a raging polygamist.
Both men were steeped and confirmed in sin and definitely are burning in eternal hell fire.
Their church believes in a multiplicity of Gods thus rejecting Jesus Christ's authority so clearly spelled out in the Book of Revelation as the Lord of lords and King of kings who has all authority in heaven and earth and the keys to hell and death.

Mormon is a colloquial term used to refer specifically to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in some contexts to members of smaller denominations that broke away from the Latter Day Saint movement. The term is derived from use of the Book of Mormon, one of the faith's four books of scripture known as the Standard Works. The book, in turn, derives its name from Mormon, an ancient prophet who compiled and abridged many records to form The Book of Mormon. The prophet Mormon himself was named for the land of Mormon (see Book of Mormon, 3rd Nephi chapter 5, verse 12) where the prophet Alma and those who followed him covenanted by baptism to obey the commandments of God (see Book of Mormon, Mosiah chapter 18, verses 4-30).
Basic beliefs
When Joseph Smith was asked about the basic beliefs of Mormonism, he summarized the teachings and doctrines in 13 points, which are today known as The Articles of Faith of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Articles of Faith read as follows:
