Cannabis is not good for you. Then again neither is alcohol but that is a more acceptable social drug.

Personally I think Cannabis is the least harmful of all the drugs and the only one that you can use in moderation without doing too much damage to your body. You hear these stories about users who become delusional and paranoid. It's only really heavy users who do that. As in people who permanently have a spliff in their hands.

It is very good for certain types of pain relief, it works when other pain killers don't. In some rare circumstances, if one is about 14-15 years old and smoke it 24/7, it can lead to psychosis. That is rare however. It is a good relaxant, promotes sociablity and empathy, enhances musical enjoyment and improves your love life. Don't smoke it all the time though, you will turn into an knobhead. Have a couple of dope free days a week, you will be OK then.
Do not go into Narcotics Anonymous and tell them you are a pot addict, you will get laughed out of the building. There are people there with SERIOUS drug problems, not some penny ante pot habit that can be stopped very easily. Use it sensibly and you will be OK. Pot has never killed anyone, can you say that about booze and tobacco?

From a mental health point of view I would not reccommend the use of cannabis as I've seen the effects it can bring, particularly to young people (19 and under) Cannabis can trigger psychotic episodes and even schizophrenia (which is permanent and never truly goes away)

Hell yes, dont listen to these boffins who say cannabis leads onto other drugs and crime.I have been smoking weed for 13 years and i have never once stolen to support my habit. And leading onto other drugs,it comes down to the individual, wether or not they want to go that way.It chills you out, good social aspect........Go to Amsterdam, your eyes will be opened. Are you a Christian?Cause its the only religion in the world that condones the use of cannabis.......After all if there is a God,it was him that put the plants on the earth....was it for a reason?Happy smoking.P.S i hold down a full time job and have a great life

There seem to be a few sensible people around. Not too many, though. Use cannabis like yoy should use any drug, starting with coffee, to enhance your life and wellbeing and not to escape from life and you should be alright. I myself think you should not use it together with alcohol, but it should be up to you. Cannabis, inspite of all the silly talk, is not more dangerous than alcohol. Enjoy, and don't get caught.

the only positive thing about cannabis is that it can control pain.

apart from that it does have a down side.it really takes over your emotions and you end up turning into a really horrible person who no one can get through to.

my son was on it and no one was able to have a conversation with him because he was irritable and never cared what any one had to say.he is now off it and the change in him is amazing
i also know a woman who has been on it for twenty years or more and she is violent because of it.

Some people are actually allergic to the smoke and get headaches from heel just with one whiff. I had a patient who was smoking it in the bathroom and I came in. Caught the whiff and held my breath and went and turned the bathroom fan on and walked out of the room. My head was about to come off. It took a half an hour with my head on the desk for the feeling to go away. Among other things later I went in and scolded the patient. She was in because she was having a hard time carrying her baby and she did loose it. She was suppose to stay in bed.

My husband also gets headaches the few times he has been exposed.

what? if you think its good for you do you think that it would still be illegal if you smoke cannabis it can effect you in the long term it is known that cannabis effects the chemical balance in the brain, and when your brain cant process the sudden rise in the chemicals it will produce burning acidand burn your nerve endings producing madness in later years along with depression ,anxiety or in extreme common circumstances it will make you as good as brain dead.

If prescription drugs aren't good for you - and they aren't, because they are toxins - then you can be fairly sure cannabis isnt either. Difference being that prescription meds often improve health to the point where it is worth the risk of using them. I don't think you can say the same of cannabis.

There is some conclusive scientific evidence about the long-term effects of using it, it can affect your memory and behaviour, and it carries much the same risk of causing diseases like cancer as smoking tobacco.

Depends. On who you are and who you ask. Some people are more susceptible to psychosis and mental health problems and so probably shouldn't smoke weed. If you aren't then in it can be a very enjoyable drug. Like all drugs though overuse can have negative effects. The trick is keeping it in moderation.
