I want to dye or paint an area carpet. Saw it done on tv. what should I use?

my aunt put the dye in a bug sprayer and sprayed her carpet evenlly and it worked well for her..but i never done it my self..

check with local rug and carpet cleaners, they can tell you with to use and how to do it...It may take a few calls to find someone to answer...good luck
