Ok, so I know this is probably a stupid question, but hey, isnt that the point of this site? lol. Ok, my question - For Homecoming, if a guy asks a girl to homecoming dance, is he also supposed to buy her a ticket to the dance, or is she supposed to buy her own ticket? I'm kinda new at this because all my previous schools never had dances. Thanks for the help!

If you invite someone to dinner, you pay for it. If you invite someone to a concert, you pay for it. If you invite someone to a football game, you pay for it. If you invite someone for ice cream, you pay for it. If, on the other hand, you are the invited one, you graciously accept or not, but either way, you say thank you.

I think u both should buy ur own tickets. This seems reasonable. If u 2 were bf/gf, then maybe u would consider buying her ticket, but it's not mandatory. It's kinda like paying for other things too- like ur not going 2 pay for her dress/shoes/hair/nails, etc., so u shouldn't have to pay for her ticket either. This is just my opinion, but if u really want 2 sweep her off her feet and be her prince charming, then go ahead if u have the money, but like I said, it isn't necessary. Have fun!

As a rule, it's going to go best if the guy buys everything he can. You get her a ticket, some flowers, and probably dinner; she'll spend $200 on a dress, $60 on shoes, and $80 on her hair. As things go, you're still getting off easy.

well thats a good Question, i would think she would buy her own! cuz if you don't ask her to the homecoming dance maybe she wouldnt be asked at all ,and she would have to get her own ticket.

Yea i think u should buy her the ticket u did ask her to go its like wen u ask a gurl to the movies u pay or dinner u pay i know it sux but wen its like a first date guys usually are stuck paying its been like that for ages lol
