I tried one of the two locations and didn't have any luck. The other (by Sick Kids), I just couldn't find...
But I'm intent on finding the darned things (without going to Texas)!

i found the original bag!
they're actually called:
Hot-N-Hot Texas Jumbo Jelly Beans... hot tamales are good and all, but they just aren't the same....

There are two places that I know of one is on Bloor about half way between bathurst and spadina. The second on in over by sick kids hospital. If you come out the emergency entrance walk down the ramp (going left when you walk out the door) walk to the street corner cross the street that sick kids is on and go down about half a block (near the uniform store) enjoy

Have you tried Sugar Mountain? Below are a few candy stores that are good bets in Toronto. I don't know your Texas Jelly Beans in particular, but I know the selection at a number of these stores is very good, especially for American candy.

If you mean 'hot tamales', go to 7-11 or any other convenience store. I'm not Canadian, but I assume they'd have them. Good luck. I love them too.

The Red Spicy ones I think you are looking for contain Cinnamon. I don't know where the candy stores in Canada purchase their candies but could most likely order them for you.
