Your fear is rejection!!! Once you get over the possibility of "you could be rejected" you'll be just fine. When we meet someone we like we can freeze up worrying about saying the right things. You'll just have to practice talking to more girls and learn from it, practice makes perfect.

It's a learned thing. We aren't born with it. You just need to practice your social skills like you need to practice hitting a baseball or riding a bike. You might miss a few balls, or even fall on your @ss, but just keep at it.
It all starts with saying hello, smiling, and being friendly. Try to notice a necklace or ear rings and comment on that. When you talk to them, say their names. Girls like compliments, so do that and you can't go wrong. Ask a lot of questions.
You have to practice at it and just keep going. Don't just try talking to the hottest foxes, but talk to everyone, and learn to get comfortable. Just remember that everyone else in school is going through the same deal that you're experiencing. A lot of girls are shy too and are going to be so happy that you made the first move. Good luck.

hey man, everybody has been in your situation at least once, so don't worry it's normal!!
but the best advice i can give you is build your confidence and your experience in women by going up to any girls u r interested in!!!
u'll probably screw up at first but as u do this on regular basis u'll gain confidence and won't freeze as often and going up to a girl won't be that big of deal anymore!!!
so next time u see a hot girl: take a breath, gather all the self confidence in you and go talk to her!!! don't event think about what to say or a plan just go and let the moment inspire you!!!
yep, being a guy is about having balls which mean having loads of confidence!!

Just be yourself, get comfortable. Maybe get to know yourself a little better so you have more confidence. Just go in, trying to get to know the girl and then go from there.

you have a lack of self confidence, you need to find something you both have in common that you can talk about and it will get easier
