My mother has a backpain. It has been hurting on the right side of her hips and we still haven't found out what's causing it. One of her ovaries (on the right) had been tied because of a tumor operation 3 years ago and now her right hip is hurting. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Going to the doctor won't help because he also had no idea what caused this.

Have your doctor make sure the tumor did not come back. We have a 4 inch memory foam mattress pad that we use. We are old and it hurts to be on the mattress itself. Not soft enough. Since we have been using the memory foam the hip pain/ back pain has not been as bad. It was worth what we spent on the memory foam although my husband complained about the price he would not sleep without it now.

Let me get this straight, if one doctor can't figure it out it must be a complete mystery. Right? Has mom considered going to another doctor? It could be anything.

I think dear old mom might be fibbing a little when she told you that the doctor had no idea. What they probably told her is that it could be a number of things and that tests, follow-up appointments, and visits to other doctors are needed.

Doctors can't ask two minutes of questions and tell you exactly what the problem is with something as diffuse as abdominal pain. Good luck.

you need to find another doctor. Just another example of our failing medical hospitals and clinics in america.. My suggestion to you dear is to pray and ask the "great Physician" Jesus.c. to help you. Hes the only answer for you now.
