I love to watch the Discovery Channel and guess what? When mount St Helens blew her top, she dumped millions of tons of ash, sulfur dioxide (a green house gas) and other pollutants into the atmosphere, more than man has done since the industrial revolution. Look at Krakatoa inthe 1800, and the volcano in Hawaii that has been erupting for about 11 years now.

What do we need to do, put catalytic converters on volcanoes?? The earth under goes two distinct cycles. We are either going into an Ice Age, which we would have global cooling, or coming out of an Ice Age, which would give us global warming. The last ice age was about 8 thousand years ago so, of course we are WARMING UP.

Common AL, you and all those tree huggers have to do better than that. At least tell the truth for goodness sakes.

Not true. All scientific evidence held by even the most unbiased government (even the Bush admins own personnel and agencies like NOAA) sources indicate that fluctuations we are seeing exceed the extremes of the natural range over time- meaning that some part of this is man-made. Even if we are accelerating a natural cycle, thats not good, as the weather change effects will be felt faster and more harshly.

It certainly doesnt take a scientist to see that the emission of over 50 million tons of pollutants (incl. combusted CO2 waste) into the atmosphere every year will incapacitate the earth's ozone protections.

The jury is still out on global warming.

However your use of non-credible obvious agenda news sources don't help your argument any. Have you considered quoting peer reviewed science journals?

I didn't look at your links but last week Scientist came forward who had gotten core sample from the melting caps in Iceland. Turns out the caps have been melting over the past 1000 years, but showed a freeze during the 1960's, which disproves Gores theory.

first of all, mishmash im SOOOO sick of hearing that. There were PLENTY OF DEMOCRATS who believed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. that was an intelligence failure, not George W. Bush. And gee, how long did Iraq have to get those wepons OUT of their country before we invaded? God, get over it!!!!

Now, onto the Global warming issue, I think Al Gore really believes himself as well, but it is definitely politically charged. It is just as it is with every other issue in America though. There are two (sometimes three or four) sides to it. and EVERYONE thinks they are the one that is right. I mean, who do you believe when you have scientists saying it's happening and other scientists saying it's NOT happening. For every person knowledgeable enough disregarding Al's opinion, there is someone supporting it. So who knows. One thing I do know is that I watch weather a lot, and we had some weather breaking temperatures here in Reno, and the last time it was set was like 1950-1960. That tells me that the temperatures fluctuate over decades, and maybe it won't get that hot again for another 50 years.... really, global warming...

Don't get brainwashed by organizations that are sponsored by the Republican party. You don't need Al Gore to see all the crap that's going on outside your window. Start reading articles from around the world. The truth is scarier than anything Al Gore could dream up.
