Its called an orphan. One word at the top of the next page would be called a widow.
See if there are any spaces after the very last word on the first page and delete them.

Try going to the end of Page one and keep hitting delete button until page 2 is gone

While on the page, hold down the Control key then press End. Once at the end of the document, use backspace until you're at the bottom of the typed information. You should now have a one page document.
Another option, when in the print setup screen, click on the button up top that says fit to one page.

Go the very end of your resume, probably the last letter or period. Then hit the delete button. You probably have a blank line or two that is pushing onto the second page.

Go to the very end of the last line of the Resume. Hit ' Delete ' Key on the Keyboard. Save the Resume as it is.

go to the end of the resume make sure the cursor is at the last item and there is nothing behind it and press the delete button until page disappears.

At the end of the last line of the first page - pur your cursor after the last letter or period (whatever you have there) and press delete until the 2nd page is gone. That's all!

Just go to the last thing you typed and hold the delete button untill you see that " _" in bold and blinking!
That or when you print just set it up to onlyl print 1 page!

try making your letters smaller go to your airal on the top of your page in work and make it smaller ex modern roman 16 make it 12
