no, they do not have to and they won't. It's thier job, if I was a cop on top of a dope deal and was asked I wouldn't either, drugs control about half the population, it's like people who don't use it are minorities now. It needs cleaned up, but it needs cleaned up by honest people, not cops who confiscate half the take for personal use. WHich we have seen in Webster County for quite some time now, and no one wants to fix it.

cops lie. not the most beautiful thing, but if they said " hi, I'm an undercover cop,do you have any drugs?" They would never get anything done.

You must ask the proper question for it to be considered entrapment. The word "Cop" is a slang term. You must ask the alledged under cover officer if he is an employee for any law enforcement agency or unpaid volunteer.

An undercover officer does not have to tell you that he is an officer just because you ask (as long as he's not making an arrest.) And it is not entrapment. Entrapment is encouraging you to do something that you normally wouldn't do.

Nope. He can tell yo anything he wants, and if you are stupid enough to sell drugs, you get what you deserve from the courts.
Sorry, but I don't have sympathy for drug dealers. Drugs are a poison not only to the mind, but to our society as well.

Of course not, they lie as part of thier cover.
Also if you are being questioned, the officer is allowed to lie to you about what evidence they have against you to try and trick you into confessing.

Yes, he must never lie. Therefor, you can go to everyone you know and ask them if they are undercover or cops or whatever, and if they are, they must tell you. Once you have asked that question, and nobody admits anything, they can never arrest you for anything you do.

nope, that would be blowing his cover, if it was like that every criminal in the world would just ask the other if he was a cop, and no stings would ever succeed.
