I recently changed jobs, in my new commute there is this little corner that I get a clear view of all comming traffic, in past 3 weeks I have been making a right turn at this corner without making a complete stop, I just got a ticket dated 2 weeks ago showing a pic of my car running the red light making right turn @17 mph speed.
I have a feeling that more of these tickets are comming in mail during next 2 weeks since I was not aware of my vialation and had no idea there was a camera there, despite of all the posted signs.
If I get a ticket from an officer it will teach me an immediate lesson but cameras take two weeks for you to find out and during that two weeks the vialation can reaccure over and over!can I dispute them tickets with that logic?

Thanks in advance

I guess the real question here is, "Did you know, at that time, that what you were doing was wrong?" It sounds to me as though you did, even though you had not been stopped by the police. Does being pulled over by the police make a violation any more or less hazardous to other drivers on the road, regardless if the intersection was clear or not? It's just my opinion, and I'm not a lawyer, but I think that's what a judge would think as well.

The correct answer is no. Nice try. You won't be able to dispute the tickets just because you didn't immediately get caught. You repeatedly broke the law, yet it's supposed to be someone else's fault for not telling you something you already knew? Gimme a break. Your "logic" isn't logical.

The violation can only "REOCCUR"(note correct spelling) over and over is if you are stupid enough to keep doing it over and over. You knew that it's illegal to roll through a red light to begin with, now you're crying because the camera busted you doing it. And you say "I had no idea there was a camera there, despite of all the posted signs". LMFAO. So there were signs there, yet you did it anyway. You deserve any and all tickets you get.

Grow up, and pay the fines, and learn to take responsibility for your own screwups. It's no one else's fault but YOURS.

No, Bozo, you can't say you were unaware of your violation. If you honestly expect us to believe that, you're too stupid to be driving a car. You dang well know you're supposed to come to a full stop before turning right on a red light. And 17 MPH is more than just the classic "boulevard stop", it's more like blasting though.

With a little bit of luck, we law-abiding drivers will not have to deal with your dumb backside on the road for a while as you've probably run up enough points to lose your license; you just don't know it yet. Your best shot at avoiding that is to get a GOOD attorney and see if he can get those consolodated into a single violation. That's going to cost you, though.

Sure sucks to be you! I was warned for doing the same thing by an officer last year. Now I always stop. Bet you will now, too. I think you are pretty much stuck with the ticket, plus any more that come.

The difference between a stop sign and a yield sign is that the stop sign is red and white and it means stop. The yield sign, being yellow and black, means to slow down and yield to oncoming traffic.

Oh, and the stop sign costs considerably more in traffic fines if disobeyed.

I don't think I can make it any clearer.

If you know a local police person ask him/her if there have been any complaints about that ticket camera. Some have been malfunctioning and made have caused some unnecessary tickets to be issued - try it anyway - good luck!@

you may be able to argue that you have learned your lesson since getting the ticket and will not continue to commit this violation and maybe they will reduce the charges on any other tickets that may be issued. i would wait and see if any more come and in the mean time DONT do it anymore. maybe they wont send you another ticket.

no, you can't fight these "traffic camera" tickets anymore... there are so many now in many cities that all legal arguements have been exhausted. Sorry for the bad news, but just pay the ticket.

sorry but no, you cannot dispute the tickets on that defense. in order to get a drivers license you were told what it means to stop, and they expect you to retain that information. i guess you will have to learn this lesson the hard way.

You can argue what you want but it most likely won't work. You're running the red light everytime regardless of how well you can see the traffic.
