Sexual intimacy allows us to see another person as they really are. We see their true selves. That makes love possible.
We can know that we love someone, but in order to experience it we have to make a connection on a deeper level. Sex is not the only way to do this, but it's definitely the most efficient.

Love can exist without sex. Sex can exist without love. However, when the two are combined it is transcendent. Compare the difference between a fling/one nighter....to seeing your soulmate and joining with them. There really is no comparision. Sex can be merely the satisfaction of a biological need. Love can be platonic. But true romantic love...real passion...and sex together....is the ultimate spirituality that is bliss. As I have said before this transcendent spiritual quality of love is the reason I remain firmly agnostic instead of atheist.

Many ancient creation myths believe that humanity was originally androgynous and existed in a state of constant bliss. However, as usual in creation myths, the gods were jealous and ripped us apart. Hence the appendage on males and bleeding from females. Interesting way to explain what they could not understand. However even those primitive ppl knew that when love and sex were combined, heaven would be glimpsed by the participants.

In a biblical sense absolutely nothing. During biblical times most marriages were arranged and thus sex was used for procreation. Today, because we consider love a prerequisite for marriage, then meaningful sex must be precluded by romantic love.
That said it is possible to completely remove a sexual act from love and most of the time you end up with either prostitution or someone with a psycological problem.

Their are many types of love. All love is caring about someone. Many confuse love with lust, and here also there is a huge difference between the two.

Love and sex is suppose to be between two married people and is not to be used as an amusement Park! Sex brings the marriage couple closer together. It strengthens the marriage!

"Spiritiuality question: What is the relationship between love and sex?"

Practicing Tantra Yoga and Tantric Sex

Tantric Orgasms besides having a strong body/mind/spirit connection, every loving couple should also enjoy multiple, powerful sexual orgasms, which stimulate and increase the secretion of the pineal and pituitary glands.

Tantric sex has a rejuvenating effect, improving men and women’s sexual health. Frequent orgasms, as one of the brain wave stimulations, will alter body chemistry. Depression and stress disappear. Women’s sexual health is greatly improved. Headaches, menstrual cramps, urinary-tract problems, weak immune function, incontinence, etc. virtually become a thing of the past.

In tantric sex, the brain chemistry is affected by empowering the endocrine glands for more hGH, serotonin, DHEA, and testosterone.

Scientific and medical studies prove that sexual health improves drastically... stimulating blood circulation, detoxifying the body through the breath, strengthening the cardiovascular, endocrine/immune and nervous functions, leading to improved sexual health, rejuvenation and longevity.

Orgasms that last at least 20 minutes can alleviate depression altogether. Take years off our face as depression is eliminated from our life. Prolong life span, strengthen the immune system and improve overall sexual health by freeing our body and mind through tantric sex.

Benefits of Tantric Orgasm

To obtain the benefits of a tantric orgasm, the shakti, or energy, the rising kundalini, must pierce each of the chakras (vortexes of energy in the subtle body) as it ascends the spinal cord. It must reach the brain's central nervous system and endocrine command center - the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, which commands the changes that benefits our sexual health.

Benefits of Frequent Orgasms

Frequent and powerful orgasms increase the level of the orgasm hormone, oxytocin. The oxytocin level is linked to the personality, passion, social skills and emotional quotient (EQ), all of which affects career, marriage, emotions and social life. Orgasms are very beneficial for sexual health because they empower our pituitary (brain function).

Sex is the physical expression of love, it's making love because the physical coming together is what "makes" the love official. Such as we solidify the emotional bond by putting our bodies as close as two humans can ever be. That's a powerful way to show love to let that person know that your love is such that you want to share your sacred unique body with them and trust them to let them inside your body or to put yourself inside their body.

It's really some powerful sh_t but sex has been abused so much. Only those truly in love can experience the feeling that God intended when he gave us that gift.

Depends on the situation and the person you are with. It can be merely a biological urge with no deep emotion attached or it can be an earth shattering experience with the one you have deep emotional attachment to. You can have one without the other but more often than not where you have deep love one of the ways it is expressed is through passionate sexual relations.

It depends on your definition of love. There is a worldly love that is codependant and exists in lots of animals. It promotes family and long term security. There is a Godly love that is sef-less, yet intimate, that when practiced between a husband and wife enables a connection that goes beyond any other. Then there is lust, which a lot of people call love, and we know how it affects sex.

When two become one. Literally....two flesh (people) become one and in so doing there is also an emotional bonding.

Of course, this is much more valid when done properly and in accordance with God's will and plan. Not our own. Both Love and Sex are gifts from God but we have twisted both almost beyond recognition. Mankind has been able to completely sever the two apart and now sex is merely entertainment and a contact sport.

They both of them are very closely related in nature. Love is something special. Sex should be saved for when you get married. Love and sex are all throughout the bible.
