It amazes how much people fall for lies from their spouse or significant other. I got annoyed all over again because of a question that was posted here. Men/Women who lie to their spouses or significant otherand get away with so much because of people being blinded by lies and stupidity.
I have a friend who is dating a guy and he's always cheating on her. He use to try and hide it, but she's so stupid he just put's it out their in the open and lies right to her face about his situation. A girl on here just asked if she being paranoid because her boyfriend keeps emailing and calling his ex to get his money back... Are you serious??? Why are people so quick to doubt their sixth sense and keep falling for the 'game'. You know in your heart of hearts if someone is lying or not. So why keep doubting yourself. Am I just 'a glass half empty' type of person or are there just to many people falling for the "game"

Denial has a large part to do with it. I think it's human instinct not to want to hear the truth, when it's hurtful. So people learn how to convince themselves otherwise, when they don't want to hear the truth.

I feel the same as you but at times we have all fallen for the game. Of course some people just get walked on all the time but I think it happens to all of us. Its unfortunate that so many people do lie. I almost feel like I will never have a relationship of any kind that does not involve lying. I call myself a realist but most of the time people think I'm jealous and paranoid. Its hard to draw the line at listening to your gut and your sixth sense and wondering if your just paranoid. All the lying has done this to us.

Because people want to believe. They want to be wanted.
Everyone sees only what they expect to see, and for many people, that means seeing what you want to see. It's too bad that it upsets you so much, but it's the way things are. You aren't a "glass is half empty" kind of person. You've just seen too much from the side as an impartial bystander to let yourself ignore what you know is there. Just be careful that someday you don't end up seeing bad in people just because you expect it to be there.
Cheers :)

The reason is that we live in a very insecure, shallow, and sleazy society. Look at all of the talk shows or cheaters, where a girl will watch their boyfriend having sex with everyone and anyone and they will attack the girl.
Maury has made millions with little white girls that like to be rebelious by dating rapper type guys; black and white; who go around making babies with anyone and everyone, and they think they can't live without them. These people are very sad, and insecure and I feel sorry for them as well.
I once heard someone on Maury Povich who said the worse he treated women, they more they loved him. Again, look at someones actions and not their words.

I think a lot of girls fall for the 'game' because they are insecure. If you let a guy walk all over you than it is only going to get worse, because now they know you'll take it. It bothers me too how girls can fall for the game, but at the same time I feel bad for them. Guys like that prey on girls who look insecure because they know they can get a piece and leave. I can't stand guys that think they have 'game' what they really have is STD's.

Wow. Mega good point here. Kudos. Finally some one actually gets it and has the nerve to publish it. Thanks for posting this. I totally agree it's a stupid game. Too many players out there men and women and too many stupid people doing stupid stuff to eachother. That's why I never played it and I won't. I'm waiting for miss right and only her. Thanks for the comments.

For one who used to "spit" game, I learned the hard way on how this junk can hurt folk...You should still try and help your friend...maybe she's dealing with someone else, while her boy is cheating...I dunno, but in any case, if the girl REALLY cares for the guy, you'd better try and snap her out of it real quick. Maybe once the guy sees what he's lost, (in your friend) he'll stop. Without revealing "game" secrets, that's all I can tell you.

i agree with you. kids are dumb. then they think they are all grown up and knows everything when they reach 18. but wait, they get dumber: after they get their hearts broken, they let some other guy do it over again! and most kids here will support risking it again. they also think love is all it takes to make a relationship work! Seriously, they almost deserved to be trashed over and over for being such an idiot.

People choose to be blind to what is obvious to the rest of us because sometimes they think the pain of facing it is going to be too much. (And then there's the old "love is blind" idiocy.) I don't disagree with you, I just think there is a more gentle answer to their blindness.
