I'd say we have at least a 50% chance of having another Republican president following Bush.

The 2006 midterm elections will provide a good indicator of how the 2008 presidential election could turn out. If the Democrats gain a lot of seats, and are able to regain control of Congress, that might show a better chance of a Democratic win in '08. On the flip side, if the Democrats win control of both houses and start Bush bashing, doing everything they can do block him, and bring impeachment proceedings against him - that could very well create a backlash against the Democrats in '08.

We already know Cheney isn't going to run - but there are several respectable candidates who are "testing the waters" and doing things that people do when they end up running for president (visiting Iowa and New Hampshire). Of course, several of the candidates have no real chance, but they're running anyways.

The important thing - if you want to increase the chances of a Republican being elected to succeed Bush is to help out. Find out who's running (I don't think anybody has officially announced yet) - and decide which one you agree with - and would like to see be president. Then, volunteer - do what you can to help. Donate money if you can afford it, talk to your friends, family and co-workers about the candidate and why you like them. Do your part to help out!

Most polls now show all Incumbents are on the way out because of Bush policy failures. No one even wants Bush to show up at a event for money for the Republicans, they see Bush as dead weight.
I read at least ten polls that confirm Democrats have a great chance to win Control of the Senate, They also have a shot at the House control. Bush was appointed by the bias High Court he was not elected. Kerry won Ohio and that is fact.

I didn't think that Bush had any chance in 2004 but the Democrats managed to turn out a really uninspiring candidate. If it weren't for the lacklusterness of the Democratic party there wouldn't be a Republican president. If there is a God there won't be another Republican president in 2008 unless it is John McCain. But you never know what kind of electioneering the Republican party might pull out of its hat to get their candidate appointed president by the Supreme Court.

It depends on who the Republicans run, how dirty their tactics get (which is usually really dirty), and what sort of platform they adopt.
Perpetuating the disastrous decisions of the current administration is a certain death knell to anyone who vows to continue on the course we are now headed. We have to balance the budget, get out of Iraq, and take care of business at home, among many other things.
If there is a candidate out there who can rise above the mediocre choices we now have, they stand a good chance of winning, whatever their political affiliation.

It is very much possible.

The democrats are already campaigning for their candidate (Hillary Clinton) two years before the election, and they are doing it because they know they NEED to.

Quite frankly, the lack of having any sort of plan or any sort of campaign strategy other than "I"m not GW Bush" has killed them in the past.

This one, Clinton is going to try to bribe the poor people with universal health care into voting for her.

It still won't work.

Let's all hope that we don't. Look at the issues facing the world today and compare them to what the world was in 1961, 1977 or 1993. In my opinion, we didn't do well under Nixon, Reagan, Bush the first or Bush the second.

It is likely that we will get another Republican president. The Democratic party is in shambles and consists of a bunch of wacko, baby murdering, poop hole diving, butt pirate marrying, minority supporting, man hating fringe groups that only represent what 15 different crazy people think. They have been hijacked by radicals.

No!
Not unless the Democrats show their disdain for America, and what a bunch of lefty freaks they are.
(Democrats are now lying and trying to hide what they really believe. So they won't scare people.)

It's the only hope we have to save this country. However, I guess we have a good indication once November comes. I hope and pray that we do.
