I'm trying to look for a great media player, that has an easy to use layout, plays all (or most) file types, including OGG and OGM files, and has good performance overall.

I'm already aware of Windows Media Player 11 (still in Beta) and VLC players. Any others (besides iTunes as well)?

I use Windows media player 10. When I started downloading files that required .mkv I had to download the Matroska codek (metroska?). Also for .ogm or .ogg I had to get that too. No big deal. Open the file in the media player, it will come up with some message to say the problem. Click to find out, and it should take you to a web page about file extensions. It will place you at that one or just type in the one you have. It comes up with a page that explains what that extension is and what you need. Click on that link and it will take you to the site to get it. Then just download it, and install it, and restart the media player and you should be all set.

winamp is the most popular media player, but it doesnt support all types, KLite(media player classic, which is free) can support all common formats, or u can download codecs for other extensions, that may work with mediaplayers
